I literally just discovered this band nearly a month ago and THEY ARE AMAZING! Many assume shoegazing is mostly a 'British thing' or the inane "The Scene That Celebrates Itself", but its original influence and reach has gone beyond the United Kingdom! With clever lyrics and loud ass guitars, Airiel is a great band that pays homage to while furthering the shoegazing/indie rocks genre.

I love how - between each immaculate, jaw-dropping performance - the smattering of applause sounds like it's just the crew and significant others in the studio. Airiel has to be the most under-rated current band I can think of.
