Totem Forest. Has been suggested I move them back closer to wall? Contrary to everything else i have been told.

Who makes the shelving unit in this video.? I’d like to bring my L/R speakers (Focal Chora 826) closer together but my current shelving is 50” wide.

my son's room is next to my living room , i don't want to hear his loudspeakers, should they be aiming away from the living room wall or on the other side pointing towards the living room wall

Simplest solution that works every time, throw your son out on the street along with his speakers, you'll notice the difference immediately.

@@Jay_Kay_Redpill,problematic answer for a loudspeaker placement vlog. I hope your son doesn’t suffer this fate 🥶🥶🥶.

@@gg.6967 meh 🫤 I came to the conclusion a few years ago that kids are highly unnecessary & over rated. Now decent speakers on the other hand 👍

Speakers are placed for imaging, not frequency response. Toe-in is done for time/intensity trading. The relationship for speaker placement is between speakers and walls, not speakers and listener. It is not a subjective, free-floating random process. It is a simple matter of image modeling.

Hello Geickmel, thank you for your comments. This 6 minute video wasn't meant to comprehensively cover every aspect of speaker placement, but more of a "here are some simple tips to help". We posted a more detailed video from the folks at Sonus faber, found here:kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoXSmqqbYr2Yb5o. True, the primary idea with toe-in is to get the best imaging and a realistic soundstage. But there is overlap with other aspects of listening. Speakers that are brighter may overly accentuate the high end if toed in, especially in a room lacking absorption. Thanks for supporting our channel!

Look at the camera! It’s rude not to look at who you are talking to!! Give up the stupid side camera angles, why do you do it?
