If someone doesn't want to be recorded by a camera in public they shouldn't be out in public.

4:16 He says "I'm a Detective" so that people will believe he is a cop. I wonder how many times this "Security Guard" has said that to members of the public and they believe he is a police officer.

4:21 "I'm a Detective." Those were his EXACT words!

What the chap does at 4:23 is very risky & comes quite close to the quite serious offence of 'impersonating a Police Officer'

'People might feel uncomfortable' is one of the stupidest things that people say.

He claimed he was a "Detective". That's impersonating a police officer, which is a criminal offence.

It may be a public place but it is private property, as soon as you are asked to leave (they don't have to give a reason) you have to go and they can use force to move you. S33 states that the "public area"text is for that act only.

These idiot shop staff / managers. Dress despicably they can hardly string a coherent sentence together They really need to learn the law and stand on it. This is the problem when you lower standards. Well done Alfie.

The store is covered in CCTV and he says to you “some people might not want to be photographed” ? The irony.

I would have told them that if they continued to violate my rights they would be leaving their employer open to civil action. That would be the only way to change attitudes.

"Customers instore cannot have their photographs taken or filmed by anybody" so what about their own cameras ? I'm a detective he did say that but turns out to be only a store detective who has no authority unless someone is stealing from the store. The guy talking about filming customers while his security guy is filming in their doorway. Double standards.
