Will I have time to change leotard from ballet to jazz x
@auditioningfordramaschool11685 жыл бұрын
Madison Calland X Hey! So I only did a jazz and ballet class at my Urdang and I know that there, you do (it’s a very quick change but a change all the same!) but I’m presuming at other places you will too. They’ll probably want you in different tights so a different leotard would also make sense X

AUDITIONING FOR DRAMA SCHOOL okay thankyou I have my urdang tommorow but I’m just wondering if I do have the time then because my leotard for jazz I will need someone to zip it up at the top for me do u think someone will be able to xx

Ahh best of luck! It is a very quick change I won’t lie 😂 but you do have time to change and you’re altogether so someone should be able to help you!! Maybe take a look at my Urdang audition video if you haven’t already kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKjKgIijgNhnidk and enjoy your audition! X

Would high heeled character shoes be good dance footwear?
@auditioningfordramaschool11684 жыл бұрын
Hey! Most places won’t ask you to wear heels and they will specify if they do. Most schools just do a jazz class and will expect you to wear foot thongs, jazz shoes or bare feet X
@biscuitboy7775 жыл бұрын
Slightly specific - But did boys change from their black unitard (for jazz) to ballet tights and t-shirt for the ballet class at Urdang and Bird?
@auditioningfordramaschool11685 жыл бұрын
Samuel King Hey! So I’ve just asked my friend and he said he wore his black unitard for ballet and then a tight black top and leggings for jazz :) he just said keep everything tight fitted so they can see your form, like girls in leotards :) hope that helps!

Did you audition at LAMDA? I got a email saying I should wear “sensible footwear” does that mean I can wear boots, audition with my socks? I’m really glad you’re making these videos so people know what to expect when auditioning.
@auditioningfordramaschool11685 жыл бұрын
Books and Roses Hey! I didn’t :/ I presume sensible footwear means like no heels, maybe go with trainers, something that’s easy to move in! Best of luck X

How old are you? And when you auditioned for ArtsEd, how old were you?
@auditioningfordramaschool11684 жыл бұрын
Hey! So I’m 21 now, currently in 2nd Year at Urdang :)) first year I auditioned for Arts Ed I was 18 and then 19 in my second year trying X

Hiii! All your videos are helping me so much! I’m auditioning for Urdang in December and I’m so nervous! When you wear a full face of makeup, does that include false eyelashes?💗
@auditioningfordramaschool11685 жыл бұрын
Robynne Evans Heyy! That’s so great to hear :)) Check our my Urdang audition video if you haven’t already. It’s really up to you, some people at my audition did wear lashes but I didn’t so just whatever you’re most comfortable with! Best of luck X (Also the “full face make-up everyday” rule I’d heard before I went to Urdang is a total myth!! Just a natural face is fine)
@hazellawrence20625 жыл бұрын
Thanks for making this! Now I know that I’m not auditioning for Urdang because, I’m sorry, but I am not wearing a full face of make up😂 if I turned up with a full face of make up everyone would think I’d been punched in the face😂 also I have a high level of testosterone in my body which means I’m prone to very painful cystic acne which is made worse by heavy make up... so I like to avoid it when possible. Minimal make up is fine for me, so I’ll deffo stick to Arts Ed, Mountview and Tribity Laban 😂😂

Hazel's World Hey! I have been meaning to make an edit on this video for a while now but just haven’t had the time!! The full face of make up is a complete myth :) most of my friends don’t wear any at all... so no fear! X
@lillywinn9684 жыл бұрын
did you wear the dress for your monologues too? and if there were any improv workshops? auditioning a week today for mountview and dont want to wear anything that i cant move in but not just dance attire!! thanks these are SO helpful
@auditioningfordramaschool11684 жыл бұрын
Lilly Winn Hey! Ahh best of luck ☺️ I think depending on how much time I had sometimes I wore my dress and other times I wore nice leggings and a nice top, whatever vibe your monologue is! Enjoy X
@lillywinn9684 жыл бұрын
@@auditioningfordramaschool1168 thanks for the quick reply!! am freaking out a little bit haha would you say nice trousers and a jumper like top is okay? im on the floor for one monologue so dont want to be flashing! and would you reccomend taking sheet music sellotaped in book form or like folded on top of each other? thank you!!
@auditioningfordramaschool11684 жыл бұрын
Lilly Winn yeah definitely, that sounds great :) don’t panic! Sheet music is whatever’s easiest for you, I always used a folder so if they asked to see something else it was all on one place. Be yourself and enjoy your audition!! X
