I hear it with the true movement minimalists, zero wasters and eco-friendly group. People who are mindful of their consumption. But I look for like minded channels to watch because I started the journey into mindful living when my son was born. The change of pace and the feeling of drowning in" stuff" was just to much for me as a new stay at home mom. I'm still downsizing my life slowly and I look for high quality items after following Audrey and other sustainable fashion KZbinrs. There are more out there if you look for it

Hi Audrey, one of the reasons a lot of people (like myself) churn through clothes and are constantly buying new pieces is because we don't like the way our body looks in clothes. You're lucky that you're slim and most likely whatever you pick up will look lovely on you. I'm a short chubby and whilst I've started building in pieces into my wardrobe that are classics, clothes sit weirdly on me. I was wondering if you might do a special collab video with someone plus sized to get their perspective on how their wardrobe affects their outlook on any given day. It'd be really interesting.

Have you looked at the Kibbe body shape system? It's really changed how I look at clothes and helped me figure out what exactly I don't like in certain items that I wouldn't have figured out otherwise, and it applies to anyone regardless of weight

TheBlackArrowTBTC not to take away from your thoughts or reasons why you’re regularly decluttering your closet, I’ve seen plenty of KZbinrs that are slender who do the same thing. I’m average in body size and I think I end up doing it because (1) I’m not truly sure what my style is (I tend to like so many different styles) and (2) because of number1, I’m not being very thoughtful when I shop.

TheBlackArrowTBTC I'm slender and declutter a lot, I've started noting down EVERYTHING I like about my favourite pieces including the fit so decluttering should slow down soo as I identify potential clutter before bringing them home from the store. Because whilst I'm slim, I have broad shoulders and a high waist and many of my "clutter" involve removing pieces that don't flatter that body type. Slim isn't automatically flattering at all.

I stumbled onto your videos a few weeks ago and am so impressed. I’ve never been a clothing diva but after watching a lot of your videos, realize my love-hate relationship with clothes was the fact, I never embraced my style. I have always had a color pallet but kept trying to force myself into styles I love in theory but that never made me comfortable. So I did the unthinkable and ditched about 85% of everything I own, replaced with a very small number of new pieces and feel like I’ve become a new person. I’ve been a jewelry maker for many years and never understood why my pieces never felt right with my clothes. Now I know I create jewelry for my style that I wasn’t doing with my clothes. I finally have a complete package and it all works. Thank you for your inspiration, tips and guidance.

Thank you Audrey for sharing your wardrobe choices for spring. We all look forward to the warmer weather after the cold winter. It is hard sometimes to find the right things to wear and having a capsule wardrobe may be the answer. Figuring out what your style is, is half the battle. What is your lifestyle, and what do you need for that lifestyle. My life has gotten fairly simpler. I have a job that I wear a limited uniform. I put on a tee shirt and pants and off I go. I have lost a lot of weight and lots of my wardrobe I cannot wear now. I live in a small community where everyone wears very simple things. With being out of plus sizes this spring, I have been shopping and just trying on lots of things simply for the joy of it. I try on just to see what things look like on me and I know I am still loosing. My aim is to have those special pieces and wonderful accessories. Not a lot, but classy pieces that I love. I am going to England this June and I am hunting for pieces I can layer and pieces I can use in a variety of ways without over packing. I have watched your videos on travel and your trip to England and it has helped me. I am shooting for blue, white and black with a few accent pieces. I want a good hat to wear while there. I may buy one there. Again, love your videos.

I am pulling out lots of items that I had packed away due to the colder season but also things that I was no longer able to wear because of some weight gain. I have lost the weight so I can now wear and enjoy many of these old favorites again. I buy many items at thrift shops and also remake some or just sew from scratch. I love items like this because they are not fast fashion and are unique. I am enjoying styling things to play with the trends without going out to purchase new things. The only thing on my list is a pair of black ankle boots..............I think I am the only one left that does not have a pair. I love your romantic lace blouse, very pretty!

A couple months ago, after i saw this video and your Sezane romantic blouse, knowing I couldn't & wouldn't afford it (85ish% of my wardrobe are pre-loved designer), I went on a hunt to find something comparable as I just love the blouse...the details, especially the collar and how you styled it was so impressive. In a Northern climate (where I live) spring is difficult to dress for; the sunshine is sharp and bright, scorching your face, and the shadows are intensely cold and freezing - A recurring ‘must’ are nice, light gloves and chic sunglasses... Also keeping everything you wear very neat and clean, since every little stain and speck of dust is magnified in this harsh, low-angle daylight we have.🌞🥶

I take advantage of the energy of spring and the feeling of a fresh start and like you it is about bringing back old favourites for warmer weather like my linen shirt and my light tshirts. Hi Audrey! I used to feel the same about linen but now it comprises the majority of my wardrobe (I live in Hawaii). I buy good quality in a mid weight (Elisabeth Suzann is midweight, you included a pic in your video). I tumble dry after shaking out and then fold right away (I store my linen dresses and tops folded on a shelf in my closet. When I plan on wearing I hang up or if needed a light toss in the dryer on a quick fluff setting while I’m getting ready. I don’t dress as tailored in style as you do however.

You do a marvellous job of being very mindful of keeping things realistic and attainable. Liya Smiles True, but you have to admit it would be difficult to emulate the style of a video released on the same day as your own 😂🤣😂 Historically, Bethany’s aesthetic/recommendations have been pretty much identical to those featured in this particular video of Audrey’s. I don’t mind, as the aesthetic is indeed beautiful, but just thought the similarities were astonishing.
