The AUG is my favourite weapon by far in this game. I love using it with the 622mm barrel, 5.56 ammo and its own scope and its beautiful. Very fun gun to use

A3 style baby! You should run those attachments with a 1MW laser and Merc Foregrip, makes it a hipfire beast at close to mid range.

Big tip: equip a M19 in your secondary for a slight increase of your total 9mm ammo, since both guns use the same ammunition pool. Even bigger tip: level your M19 until you've unlocked Fully Loaded and start with max 9mm ammo for your AUG! This also applies to the MP5 btw! The 1911 can do the same thing for the Striker 45!

@@_zl19 for me the fully loaded thing doesn't really work anymore, did they nerf it? I barely get anymore ammo for my SMG when I fully load a 9mm sidearm. Before the recent patch a couple weeks ago I had like 300-400 9mm ammo to start now it's like 100.

I've been using the MP-5 quite a bit since launch but, last week I started using the AUG so I could try out the 5.56 conversion and I think it's my new favorite SMG. It feels like the M4 hooked up with the MP7 and had a baby. That baby being the AUG. It's really the best of both worlds. I love it.

The aug is my favorite gun in this game. I use the 30 round NATO mag, commando grip, 407mm extended barrel, strippled grip, and monolith suppressor

I use 30 round 5.56, commando, compensator, stipples, and ads speed stock. This shits the most underrated gun in the game. Literally a perfect ar-smg hybrid. 9mm version sucks tho since you aren’t utilizing its precise recoil

Love the AUG, this is my set up for the 5.56 bullets. Compensator, 622 long barrel, GI Mini Reflex, Merc Grip (to help with hip fire accuracy) and the ammo conversion. This set up is a god damn beast. It shreds at mid to long ranges, and the trick is, if someone pushes on you, use your hip fire to blow them away at close ranges. I LOVE this gun build, and its my go to in pretty much anything and everything if I'm trying to sweat.

The AUG is an assault rifle that has conversion kits to turn it into an LMG and an SMG respectively. Different games used different conversion kits as the default AUG hence difference in classes in between games. The 5.56 conversion is actually the base AUG irl

For some strange reason, try the 5.56 mag in hardcore and for some reason, it gets alot of hit markers, mean while the smaller rounds gets little to none hit marker🤦🏽‍♂️

Idk exactly why but the 5.56 aug with that 3x feel great in any gamemode, can compete just fine in cqc and decimates even fals and aks at long range if i can keep my shot on

I know it isn’t statistically the best, but I love using the 5.56 ammo with the 622mm barrel + monolithic suppressor. The 3HK range is increased over 50% (but is still kinda sad) but the 4 shot kill goes forever. It doesn’t stand up to the M4/Kilo141 but it’s a better AR than the SCAR and M13.

I know some people myself included thought oh cool an attachment converts it to 5.56 AR/smg hybrid oh yeah. Just use the 622 mm barrel. It makes a better AR/smg hybrid than the 5.56 conversion does. Using the 622 barrel, stippled grip, CQB stock. Boom you have smg AR hybrid.

The Aug in my opinion is easily one of my favorite weapons in modern warfare, (seriously, you would be thoroughly disgusted by how much I have used it) the 9mm is good for SMG role, but I prefer the 5.56 conversion, my reasoning is that because of the increased mag capacity and the higher damage, I consider it more forgiving than the 9mm, even though the time to kill on the 5.56 is not super competitive.

The AUG should have more of a bump in its recoil pattern after the first shot - it has a progressive trigger to actuate full auto. I haven’t had the opportunity to fire the steyr aug with this setup, but I do have experience with the F2000 - and I’m not a fan of that mechanism. You can’t just lean into the gun with steady pressure. You break one shot, your sights shift, and the full auto kicks in. If you’re leaning into the gun after that first shot, your sights might dip and then the fa kicks in. Or you break that first shot and immediately lean into it as it’s about to climb. I hope that makes sense.

Gheez the facts are there saying the 55.6 is not the way to go but I went crazy and got it gold in about a day after getting that 55.6 rounds. I used actual aug setup with the optic, Barrel, 55.6 30 rounds with the stippled foregrip and monolithic supressor works well

No joke, Aug with: -Heavy Barrel -60 round conversion mag -Merc Foregrip -Laser ADS speed -Stock ADS speed FREAKEN SLAPS It gets more of a LMG Movement speed and ADS time but the ADS speed reduction is canceled by the last two attachents, and you still get great sprintout time. Also Merc forgripe give bonus movement speed of +3%.

i run the AUG its a phenom, hardly see anyone else run it, mostly i like it becuase it reminds me of the ump45 from the og mw2, the 223 conversion, merc grip, standard barrel, compensator. anything else you feel like running on it. the recoil is chunky and the 223 lets you make those longer shots you would have issues with with something like the fenec, where the AUG accels over a proper AR is that it hipfires much better

5.56 aug isn’t too good on paper but in game it shreds. Vertical recoil constantly has me hitting headshots when I don’t even mean to so if you’re really good at dealing damage to the chest the aug will work very well for you

In my opinion the AUG is one of my favorite smg in the entire game.I love the fact that it is a hybrid between a rifle and smg while also having a pretty fast time to kill. I make my AUG with those sweet 5.56 NATO rounds to increase that range and I also use that extended barrel to increase range also. I also put attachments to make it like an smg too and after all with my attchments (Sorry I did not tell you) it does have a slow Aim down sight time but it make that up in power.

If anyone is here now, I’m letting you all know I’ve been using the aug since launch, and the 5.56 conversion was god tier at launch but without a doubt it’s been stealth nerfed, it’s no way near as strong as it was at launch, just use the 9mm, it’s slaps and has no recoil

The PKM has the most damage per bullet, the M91 is the all around LMG, the MG34 has the highest fire rate, and the SA87 is your assault rifle/LMG hybrid. Really the LMGs compete really well with each other even though the SA87 feels kind of underwhelming.

I find out with the Aug with compenstator and commando forgrip is a laser I only use the 9MM setup find it has so much more recoil with 5.56 not worth it seem to kill much faster just normal setup. Do the oden next Ace with stopping power rounds that gun is unstoppable

Idk why people dont use the aug, with 556 it has: A faster TTK than the M4A1 at all ranges Its a laser It works in every scenario. For warzone (and normal multiplayer) i use: Monlythic suppressor 407 mm extended barrel Commando grip 556 ammo (30) Tac laser (to get back any lost ads and only reveals your position when aiming but by then its too late :) Overall great gun, my first time using in warzone i got a new kill record by a large margin

They need to buff all the ammo conversion attachments. Theres no point to using any of them especially because it takes up an attachment slot and you could just use another gun from that category. I’d like to see them either make the conversions better than the base weapon and compititive with the category they’re changing to, or convert the weapon without wasting attachment slots

One thing he forgot to add was that the compensator on the AUG cuts down basically 90% of the total recoil, more so than any other gun I've seen
