Came into the expansion really looking forward to Scalecommander because of the vibe and the fantasy, but Chronowarden is just so good. The overall damage may be even between the two, but the additional haste, the constant essence bursts and uptime on Ebon Might really takes the feeling of the spec to another level.

You should always R3 Fire breath, especially in AOE. If you're not running Molten you can R1 on ST, but you should be running molten and send R3 FB in ST as well.

Not if your upheaval is incredibly desynched with your firebreath. Upheaval is the entire reason charging firebreath to 3 is worth anything.

Just watched the whole thing, amazing guide! I think you touched on pretty much every spell / talent / rotation possible. Would you say Chrono is better for newer players who want to focus on support, and Scale Commander is more advanced?

I love that your talent spec deviated from all the cookie cutter stuff I've seen! Also I am very curious about something regarding talents: Is there is a reason Draconic Attunements + Aspect's Favor is not used? I tried to look into it and it appeared to be common in Dragonflight, but maybe it was nerfed or better options became available. The health buff *seems* strong for keys since you use obsidian scales often. So it seems like it has some utility there. Also curious about when an aug evoker should dip into healing talents/feel like they need to help there? Thanks! Love the content! :)

Every time I play Aug it feels like I’m trying to keep a balloon from hitting the ground but the balloon is filled with cement when it comes to keeping my buff bar up

question: In M+ I often have prescience ready before both my dps’s uptime is done. do I want to top it or do I want to spend it on healer/tank?

Honestly other than optimizing for yourself, you can genuinly let it automatically choose. Healer and tank getting it is never bad, and you get ultimately more uptime on helping by using more. Optimizing prescience is basically just to give you crit when you need it for your burst. The DPS will have it so often. Trying to window the prescience and the shifting sands generally has the effect of wasting to much time trying to optimize when you could have already done the damage. So more is more! Let prescience do its thing, and remember your crit chance is equally important as the other DPS if its your burst window!

So is there a way to judge how you're doing without using warcraft logs? Obviously most people don't log their dungeons so it'd be hard to really judge performance and success. Raid is easy because you can just check logs.

i rerolled on it to do keys with friends and its super fun.. truely a bit hard in pugs with the potential of failers but with premades its great
