Hey everyone! Was headed up to the Grand Canyon a few days ago, thought I'd do a little Vlog of the trip in case it turned into something worthwhile! Despite great storms and awesome downpours, it seemed kinda meh on the lightning front right up until the end of the night when we were treated to a spectacular single burst of lightning that made the entire trip worth it. Hope you enjoy!

Great effects of a nice trip/storm chasing and probably great time You had :). I was lucky to chase one storm last month in Norway - which is extremely rare to observe a proper lightning storm here. But - I felt the same level of excitement and able to capture few decent shots as well as video :). Since 8 years living here, in the north of Europe, I saw maybe 10 storms during summer season? - so I feel incredible lucky to see, hear and experience the big lightning storm in one of the most beautiful areas in middle Norway - Stryn and Jostedalsbreen National Park. Video from that trip will appear in next few weeks on my channel if someone will be interested :). All the best to You Mike!

7:26 I had something like that and the storm I had was so detailed and it also had a solid cloud to ground strike

Thanks Chris, I think it's just a long ways (7 hour drive) and a lot of waiting, sitting around and when you bust, it can just feel a bit depressing lol. Nice that this one ended on a high note!
