Your video is great and brings back so many memories from when I was a young chef from Switzerland working in Banff and the surrounding area for a few years in the 80s and visiting all these fantastic places. You bring the past vividly back to the present with your pictures and I thank you very much for that.🥰🤠

Travel is indeed getting more expensive but I am sure you can find an affordable way to see this beautiful place. If there is a will, there is a way. Hope you can make it.

My recommendations are simple- reserve EVERYTHING as early as you can! The crowds are massive. Forget about seeing Moraine Lake unless you go through the horrible agony of the bus rides. If you are interested in shooting Moraine at dawn, sunrise, or sunset, stay in the hotel if you can afford it. We reserved early for two nights (like 8 months in advance or more) and got a nice room with a view. Treat yourself and you will never regret it. You will have two opportunities for sunrise, moon or astro, (from the lakes shore by the hotel), and sunset. We liked everything we saw. Favorites was Banff Gondola ride up to dinner at Sky Bistro, the top of Sulfur Mountain and then an amazing sunset. Also, the boat to Spirit Island on Malign Lake Cruise in Jasper. Reserve early. The 9 and 10 AM boat rides fill up very early. Dale Miami

Wow! One of the best videos I've seen. Excellent! Thank you. I can't afford to travel and this helped me to enjoy the places I wish I could see. Someday, I will visit in person. I liked your choice of music too, especially the guitar and strings.

Glad you enjoyed it! Lots of planning for months in advance. But we’ll worth it. Drawbacks are the hordes of people, hard to visit sites due to Canada Park service blocking roads, buses, etc.

Great job on the video. I was in Canmore in August 2023 too and it was spectacular. Can't wait to go back some day :-)

Thanks, There was a tremendous amount of forester fire haze that was difficult to photograph the mountains. I was lucky in having a few clear days.

Cheri: Thank you for the positive feedback. Actually, my trip of a lifetime was our recent Kenya safari. I did not post it to You Tube but I did post it to my Vimeo channel. Here it is vimeo.com/887783121 Dale Miami

Great photos, what camera gear?

First- a thumbs up please! Main camera was Nikon Z8 with 24-200mm f/4-.6.3. Back button focus. Mostly shot using either Aperture or Shutter priority depending if static or action. Second body used for most timelapse sequences was the Nikon D750 and 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6. Main camera for astrophotography the D750 with Nikkor 14-24mm f/2.8. 15 seconds,14 mm, at f/2.8 for 2 1/2 hours at 1 AM in the morning. Tripod- Really Right Stuff for all astro, sunrise, sunset timelapse sequences Motion lapse- Apple iPhone 14 ProMax and DJI Osmo Mobile 6 gimbal which was also used a lot for road sequences. Software- Adobe Photoshop 2024, Light room LrC for timelapse using LRTimelapse 6.1. Some use of the DJI Osmo Action (like a GoPro). Post-processing was a very time intensive process (4 weeks at 8 hours a day). I am most proud of the scenes showing the boys diving in the lake and freezing them in place. That required the Z8th magnificent 30 frames per second shutter. The slow water images were all taken with ND filter, sometime a 10 stop Neutral density.
