Wow that is so old August Burns Red again. I'm back for a listen. -I love that it points to Christ (last 2 songs). Not many metal bands do that anymore I don't know how Jake still can. -I wonder how many notes these guys have played across their albums. -I guess I'm posting this here because I don't really have anyone to talk to metal about anymore lol. Go ABR! They're killing it.

Lyrics: Take care of the care taker. Say these words before you meet your maker. This catastrophe has been years in the making. They saw the advantage. You were there for the taking. Carry the guilt of letting a loved one down. We’re all holding the burden of watching you fall. This won’t be your final curtain call. Trusted they were safe in your hands. Your oath be damned. Just another hypocrite’s plan. Your oath be damned. The lows feel like days. The highs escape in minutes. Go back to when everything was clear. The act of waking up didn’t instill fear. This is a conflict you can conquer. It’s just mind over matter. The reality of the situation is this may take some meditation. You’ll need some help to figure out this equation, and find out why things aren’t lining up inside. Your internal clock isn’t winding right. The pressure is building. It’s more than you can take. Take care of the care taker. Say these words before you meet your maker. This won’t be how you are remembered. It is a conflict you can conquer. This won’t be how are you are remembered. Rewrite the script, and start over. Trusted they were safe in your hands. Your oath be damned. Just another hypocrite’s plan. Your oath be damned. Carry the guilt of letting a love one down. We’re all holding the burden of watching you fall Hope everyone continues to stay safe and listen to great music. Thanks to all the nurses selflessly risking their lives to protect us. You are a hero. - Riana & Reece

I've said it before and I'll say it again, ABR has become what Dark Tranquillity could have been, if DT had been able to sustain their peak for another 10 years.
@kuroinamida46304 жыл бұрын
dude! you do know that ABR are Metalcore and Dark Tranquillity are, were and always will be a Melodic Death Metal Band? and DT never sounded closely to ABR
@Alran1094 жыл бұрын
@@kuroinamida4630 I agree. Not sure what OP means. DT never sounded like anything ABR has made. In Flames could have been DT if they had sustained their peak. Once Jesper left that band really went downhill. DT has always made great melodic death metal though.
@kuroinamida46304 жыл бұрын
@@Alran109 yup IF really went downhill even tho i can still enjoy the new stuff but it doesnt feel like IF anymore. Also iirc i read somewhere that Jesper himself said that this is not the In Flames that he founded anymore.
@mdd474 жыл бұрын
@@kuroinamida4630 Go do some reading and figure out where NWOAHM came from, then get back to me. Instrumentally there is almost no difference from the Gothenburg melodic death scene of the late 90s/early 2000s and the American metalcore scene by the time KSE, Shadows Fall, etc came around. All those bands worshipped At the Gates, DT and In Flames and it shows. ABR followed in their footsteps and perfected the sound.
