I remember listening to this when I was 11, with my brother back in 05. I just find it kinda funny how he introduced me to this kind of metal sound, and now today it still is part of my music playlists all these years later at 30, but with my brother it was a phase.

To anyone that says he's bad live, he's not, he said himself that he had been sick and that really affected his voice during this show. He's really good live, but you can't be amazing with every single performance, it just won't happen. I do think that they should have scheduled this for a time when he could have given one of his really good performances though because I think for a live CD/DVD that's kind of important.

They played this live, Tuesday. It was so amazing.

One of the most underrated metal bands ever. It's certainly not their creativity and interesting use of whom I can hear as influences that can be held accountable, or their stage presence which unfortunately I've only witnessed on KZbin (or fortunately if I my glass half full). Definitely if not today or tomorrow, their brilliance will be more widely acknowledge. Lastly, how many bands can have such a distinct style yet have such an array of songs that stand completely on their own while keeping "their sound" as a band, Deftones, Mastodon come to mind...

@a7court yeah, Jake is from somewhere in the south, according to snackpak888 he's from south carolina. Their previous two singers(Jon Hershey and Josh McManness) were from the area around Manheim I believe, although I think Dustin is actually from Smithsburg, Maryland, but I could be wrong. Regardless of all that, this is home for them lol.

It's funny how people are saying he sounds like the recording because he joined the band after Thrill Seeker was released.

Jake is good but Josh kills this whole album. Messengers though...Jake and the boys bring the noise and redefine a whole genre. I can't want to see them perform the whole album live.
@TheRandomSpectator7 жыл бұрын
AllWillFail Josh was ok. I think it's just weird to hear a different vocalist doing it, since it's very difficult to replicate someone else's screams.

Tomorrow is your lucky day. They are live streaming the entire album for it's 15 anniversary. Full production concert online, and you can watch for $15.

It's unfortunate that this probably done during the middle/end of the concert and was one of Jake's worst's performances I've heard of him. Usually he's fantastic. But as agreed with kjekidcmments, he brings so much intensity it doesn't even matter.

Yeah he does. First guy was much better imo. I still think "Messengers" is pretty good as well. Their latest stuff, I don't personally like it. -----Bring on the downvotes.

Chris Pecci I know you posted this 4 years ago, but to this day, I never start out liking an album when it first comes out. They always drastically change their sound for each album, in addition to adding new influences, yet still retain their signature sound, so it usually takes me at least 6 months to a year of consistent listening to get used to whatever their newest album happens to be. Happened for R&R, FIFAP, and I'm still getting used to Phantom Anthem.
