The pregold painting was very appealing to me. In this case, the gold became the most notable feature. Instead of being an accent, it felt like the main point. The leaves faded into the background and became secondary. Still, as always, your tutorials and masterpieces are just fabulous. Keep up the great work. It doesn’t really matter what anyone else thinks, as long as it makes you happy.

I love this painting, just love it. I am just going to begin watercolor journey. I know nothing of this work. I am learning from you. I'm so very impressed. I love this painting without the gold so so much. But then the gold makes it look rich, like some wild Saudi Arabian prince wanted it for his princess. Your work makes me happy and right now I need this due to many familial issues. Thank your allowing us to learn from you.

This is so lovely and a joy to watch you play! I see why you wanted to outline the leaves, as the edges did blend into the background (though that was nice, too). I liked both paintings CeeCee but the gold lifted it to another level. I've always liked cloisonné but that often flattens out a painting. Yours had a lovely 3D quality with the texture in the leaves and that dark background with "stars" to help the leaves pop out. Magical!
