My first quilting memory was seeing for the first time the amazing quilts my Mennonite friend created by hand ... inspiring me to start this amazing quilting journey. Thanks so much for the fantastic blocks, quilting designs and projects you've been creating for all of us.

My Mom had a king sized quilt that her Grandma made for her wedding. The squares were so small and it was all hand sewn. Various older family members were able to recognize many fabrics that were used in the quilt. I loved that quilt and became determined to learn how to quilt someday.

My grandmother was always making quilts with feed sacks by hand. In those days feed sacks came in so many different colors and patterns. I have a few of them and cherish them.

My first memory is a quilt my grandfather had made for all the grandkids before he passed. We received it after he was gone but it was a beautiful reminder. I still have it 40 years later.

My grandmother did and around the world quilt in 2.5 inch squares . It is all hand pieced and quilted. Alway fascinated me how it went from one color into the next. Still have it and couldn't be happier to have it.

I have no childhood memories of quilts/quilting. My introduction to them was 5 years ago when I joined a local sewing group after I retired and I’ve made quite a few since then. Great hobby.

My first quilt was the disappearing card trick after taking a class. My mom did not sew growing up, didn’t even know how to sew on a button. Was wowed how the block came together just from pieces of fabric. Been hooked ever since.

Playing on my grandmothers treadle sewing machine, it ended up in our basement and I played on it all the time. I learned to sew on it too. Now it is in my garage needing a few repairs but the machine still works. The wood drawers fell off but a friend is going to repair it soon. I made 9 patch quilts for my boys sleep mats in Kindergarten. First quilt project. My youngest son's mat is on our twin bed in the guest bedroom. I made it from excess fabrics leftover from all the maternity shirts I sewed for myself.

My 1st memory of quilts were at my Nannies. I loved her Chenille bedside and her Scrappy YoYo quilt. There was just something about the comfort of snuggling up under them to make all your pains go away. I still love scrappy and chenille today.

The first quilt I made was when my niece was born in 1993. I took a hand quilting class and made a 42" square quilt for her that was completely done by hand. It took almost 6 months to make but I was really proud of it.

My first memory of a quilt was receiving one from my aunt as a kid. It was hand tied with pink yarn and had my name appliquéd in a block. Still have it under my bed all tucked away for safe keeping.

My first memory of quilts was as a child my mom used old quilts as a mattress pad. They were old and worn out but I always thought they were too soft and colorful to be hidden away.

I learned how to sew clothes back in school, but no quilting until I was in my late 50’s. A co-worker introduced me to quilting. I loved 🥰 it. My first quilt was a pattern by Joel Dewberry! Love his fabric and patterns! I thank Candy, my co-worker and wonderful friend for introducing me to it. It has brought me do much joy!!

Hi girls. I’m really enjoying my MeTimeDelivered box every month. I love your tip on adding the backing to the block while still in the hoop. It would be awesome if you actually added that to the block file itself, giving us that option😉💜

I still have the quilt that my grandmother made for me so many years ago. It was mostly hand sewn with very small pieces of fabric, it's truly a work of heart. I appreciate it even more now that I'm learning to sew, quilt and embroider.
