Jill - would love to know how you overwinter mid/late summer sown plants for spring planting. Do you keep them in the greenhouse? Do you water them? This is a wonderful new concept for me. 😊 Thank you for your great channel. 💗

Depends on the plant. Some are so hardy a greenhouse is not required at all. Watering is required even in winter but much less frequently than in summer obviously. If they are outside you probably wont need to water but in a greenhouse you will need to even in winter. If your seed packet says hardy annual, or hardy perennial, this means you can sow now, get a bit of bulk on them while it's still warm, then they will overwinter (and appear to stop growing) until spring when they will start growing again. I will be doing some sowing of flowers as well this month. I have a video I did last september or october where I did some autumn sowing for flowers next year. Hope this helps.

If you are in the USA, they call them cool flowers rather than hardy annuals.

I think the cage works great Jill 👍. I’m sowing carrots, bush beans, onions and leafy greens why not hey what have we got to lose. It’s raining here 🎉🎉 and did all day yesterday. Hope your sunshine sticks around a while, happy sowing, Ali ☔️🇨🇦

I love the cage and water reservoirs are great! really save me from watering constantly in this heatwave. I think we are due thunderstorms soon so could be a break in the weather but regardless it's hot. About time, the summer has been awful in general until now. Happy sowing to you too!🇨🇦🇬🇧🥕
