I recently came across two more Greek Myths retellings: Medusa by Rosie Hewlett and Daughters of Sparta by Claire Heywood (just noticed the last names are a bit similar). I'll positively buy the first one, not sure about the second title- as you rightly said they sound heavy sometimes... I hope you enjoy A Thousands Ships! I myself am intrigued by The House by the Cerulean Sea... I'd love to hear your thoughts on it when you get to it :) We recently had a heavy rain and the temperature dropped from 40+ to 18 C! Not usually a commenter because i ramble a bit but yay assassin’s quest is on my tbr next month too, i’ve slowly fallen in love with the series (I knew I would probably like it because i read her prequel novella a while ago and loved that, just wasn’t ready to start a new big series!) I think I have unpopular opinions on OEWBG and THITCS but i hope you love them. I dnfed OEWBG halfway through- the tone and prose both just didn’t work for me, the prose particularly was just a bit much for my taste which was a shame. I did enjoy THITCS but the messaging was a bit on the nose; it almost felt dickensian and too didactic in the way things were explored but most people seem to love it and it was very sweet. I hope you’re well and I really appreciate your channel. xxx
