My younger brother is a priest in the Worcester, Ma. diocese. A number of years ago he was saying Mass before a small group of people. Right at the time of Consecration as he placed The Eucharist down on the Altar it started bleeding. When I asked him about it afterwards He told me it truly a Miracle but was just God's way of showing what the Church teaches is the truth. Through the power of the Holy Spirit at the time of Transubstantiation that Host becomes the actual Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Savior Lord Jesus Christ. It is the greatest gift Jesus left us before he ascended back into Heaven.

When I went to the First Communion, it wasn't a nice day. My mum didn't come with me. I felt awful as all my friends had beautiful dresses, little handbags and white gloves, their hair was elaborately styled. I looked so scruffy in a dress previously worn by my sisters, and too big. I wanted just to run away. But when I was given the holly host, something incredible had happened. I felt as if I were high! I felt surrounded by love and had a feeling that I was loved by God. Everything around me looked strangely different and beautiful. I didn't have the photograph taken as I worried that my mum will have to pay for it. Went home and couldn't tell my mum how I felt, as she didn't even notice me, so I took my dress off , and went outside. It wasn't a special day for my parents, but it was for me. I still keep thinking about it.

I can't express the joy, blessings and grace I feel as a daily recipient of Holy Communion. Saint Paul recommends we receive Him in the state of grace. As a Catholics, we are double blessed by the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Go often, so as to receive Him in the state of grace.
@bryanmarks3749 Жыл бұрын
St. Paul didn’t just recommend we receive the Holy Eucharist in a state of grace. He wrote in his first letter to the Corinthians: “Whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying.” (1 Corinthians 11:27-30)

What a lot of people don't know is that at Lanciano, the priest was an Eastern Rite priest, and it was not that he didn't believe in the Real Presence, his doubts arose from the fact that the Eastern rites used leavened bread and he was saying a Mass with unleavened bread -that was why he was not sure if the Eucharist was confected. So, it was an especial grace to the Eastern Rite churches to clear that doubt for them.

Doesn’t Aquinas provide a very specific explanation of transubstantiation in the Summa having had a vision of the “glorified,” “ formless” Christ? Aquinas uses the terms “species impressa” and “species expressa” to convey the actual transference of Christ’s consciousness, the power of his consciousness conveyed by the Holy Spirit into the consciousness of the recipient. Thus, the recipient of the host and the wine actually experiences the “body and blood” of Christ in a transformation of one s consciousness. Time and space may in truth be linked in the consciousness of God, as Father Spitzer explains in his understanding of transubstantiation, but that is not the explanation of Aquinas or most Catholic mystics who have experienced the “formless” Christ. In other words, on receiving the consecrated host, the recipient experiences or “ realizes” Christ. Many theologians interpret the Aquinas explanation as the “body and blood” being more like a “metaphor” or “sign” to explain how the transformation of consciousness occurs when the Eucharist is received. I have experienced this transformation apart from “faith” or “belief”. In other words the shift in consciousness occurs outside the mind.

Doesn't God clearly have a sin eating human flesh. At the last supper they ate bread and which art of human body did the disciples partake. Eating and drinking HIS resurrection body as representing HIS body does not conflict in the way human body. This would also align with "being" prophetically the spiritual body.
