+Márquez Caramba reason is when you drive fast your body knows whats coming but his body doesnt, for example when you are going to brake hard you lean back harder but the passenger didnt expect that and when taking a corner fast you know how fast you will take it so you will lean more to the other side, my friends never feel comfortable in my cars but I cant fix it because thats how I drive I cant change it.

He's a very good professional race driver that knows that track very well, she's his wife who doesn't know the track, doesn't know what he and the car are capable of and probably has little experience of being driven quickly. Not surprising they have different ideas of what is, or isn't, driving fast. However, I would wager that she'd be keen to do it again when she had a little time to relax.

I agree! It's really fun to go very quickly in a car. I've been racing for a very long time (some say too long) but sometimes things break, or mistakes happen. I couldn't help but think of what it would be like if he crashed, and killed her. Remembering that she was begging him to slow down. Wow. That's why after I grew up, I never took a passenger. Fangio felt the same way. (No, I'm not comparing my talent to his.) He killed a navigator in a race early in his career. After that, even though he was the best. He went alone.

The thing that normal drivers don't realize about racing is that everything you do is to minimize the chance of losing control or going off track, and everything else you do, is to do that as fast as possible. The line you take through each and every corner has been studied and planned out to the milimeter, your braking points, turn in points, exit points practiced until they become subconscious. The thing about a racing line is it's designed for low speed entry, fast exit from every turn. This means that if something were to go wrong, you would be going slow enough to correct it, and it just also happens to be the fastest way through a corner. Slow in, fast out. By following that correct line, the car is put under the minimum amount of stress, the maximum amount of control, and the safest but fastest path around the course. In spite of the speed, the chances of a wreck, when you are the only car, or there are few other cars, is incredibly small. It's much worse driving at normal speeds in high traffic on the freeway than driving at high speed taking a racing line in low traffic.
