@@gigimoore3738I'd say Elvis also won the lottery to have Billy as his ride or die confident! Someone he could trust with his secrets and could absolutely depend on when the chips were down even if he( Elvis) went broke, he knew Billy loved him for himself.

Hello to all the Smith family, It was so lovely to hear about Dear Mrs. Gladys, there is nothing like a mother's love for her child even if he's an adult. Elvis was a great actor, he was born to be on the screen and sing. I agree with Mr. Billy, 46 years after Elvis has been gone and he still has that same effect on his fans. In life Elvis brought us moments of magic and wonder in all of his achievements. Thank you Mr. Billy, Mrs. Jo and Mrs. Danielle for bringing Elvis closer to all his fans who love him. Grace and Alain from Canada ❤❤❤

There is an interview video I watched with Sonny and Red where they admitted they wrote the book for money and revenge.I believe Red also admitted there were lies or embellishments in the book, placed there because the publisher wanted to sell more Also, the ghost writer worked for that "respected publication" the National Enquirer. Common sense debunks Red and Sonny' s statements when they said they wrote the book to help Elvis see the reality of what he was doing..So, let me get this straight, they wrote a book which would demean him, defame him and hurt his feelings greatly, hurt his career and it somehow would help him come to his senses.I refuse to read the book of admitted liars and one that hurt Elvis so much.He died two weeks after its publication and took their disloyalty to his grave.
@sandralybrand9425
@sandralybrand9425 9 ай бұрын
@@margarettaylor8107I also saw the video where they admitted they were mad and did it for money! I think they caught you know what from Elvis fans, or learned the truth about Vernon withholding the $5000 Elvis told him to give them to tide them over, and that he was going to hire them back later. Because not even a couple of months later they said they wrote it to give him a wake up call. I don't doubt they regretted it and did love him until they went to their grave. But they did betray his trust and there's no coming back from that. Also what was Reds motive for taping the phone call with Elvis? That was a dirty thing to do! Even hurt as Elvis was, before the phone call ended, Elvis told him, " if there's anything you need, I'm here" that brought tears to my eyes because it showed the true heart of Elvis!

What Elvis had was God given gift from God!!! God took a teenager from Tupelo Mississippi and said Elvis I’m going to give you a gift that will have a profound impact on the world by being poor and black. Elvis was chosen by God to change the world. He was a revolutionary man. He did things that NO-ONE else had ever done. He tore down racism and racial barriers. Because he went from rags to riches he knew the limitations that was set upon the world as a whole for the poor and blacks. He never forgot where he came from. He faced on racism by being a white man doing R&B and dancing like he was “black”. Here’s the white boy who grew up surrounded by black people who sang black music at a time when it was taboo. He loved the rhythm of black music. That’s why he was able to dance and move like he did. Elvis used his dancing to further enhance the music he was singing . Not only was we stunned by hearing the voice but the dancing made you feel the song. He was the first to do everything in the music business and helped push black artists and black music. He was born to be The King of Rock and Roll. He took that God given gift and change the music industry. Without Elvis there would be no Rock and Roll. Elvis was a trend setter. Many people say Elvis “stole” black music and black dance moves. How can he steal something when it’s who he was part of a black community? He gave props to artist when did a “cover” song. He acknowledged the black artist who music he sang. Folks be forgetting that when Elvis sang a “black” it allowed the artist to get recognized for the song. If he hadn’t sang those song no one would even know the artist who wrote it. Elvis made certain “black” songs popular and known world wide. This was at the height of racism. Elvis got “black” music on the radio tv and in the newspapers. He’s responsible for Prince Michael Jackson James Brown Queen to say the least. He gave them the ability to come out mainstream on radio and tv because he has already paved the way. Elvis earned his title of The King of Rock and Roll because he paid his dues for himself and every artist after him. He was the blue print in the music industry. RIP Elvis Presley

Thankyou for Sharing your wonderful memories with us Billy & Jo...it's so Special listening to you. Loved Elvis since I was little, I was 14yrs old when Elvis died in 1977. My Mother came in with tears in her eyes to tell me, she'd heard on the radio early that school day. I was heartbroken. I received a letter from Graceland just days after. It was postmarked July from USA before the 16th August. I'd written a Fan letter months before & didn't think I'd get a reply but I did, it was something I cherish to this day...46yrs later. Loved hearing about Gladys, Elvis's Mother, she sounded like a great woman. The Bond between her & Elvis was something "Special". Thanks Danielle too for all you do, it's so appreciated! 🥰🙂Elvis Fans Matter! From Australian fan.

Question: Does Billy maybe remember Elvis ever telling him about this?: My father is a brother of Tom Parker (Andreas van Kuijk). In my family there goes a story around that in june 1959 Breda Holland, my grandmother her neighbour noticed a man in military uniform stepping out of a limousine (this neighbour later realised the man looked a lot like Elvis) with an envelop in his hand and was walking around the alley this neighbour lived at. After my grandfather died my grandmother Marie van Kuijk moved with her children to a room above a cigar store on Boschstraat 73 (her number 73b). She lived there until her death in 1958 (unfortunately she never knew what had happened to Andreas when he disappeared in 1929, she thought he was dead). The entrance to the house used to be in the alley next to the cigar store. The man in uniform showed this neighbour the envelop which said Marie van Kuijk alley Boschstraat Breda. Like most Dutch people at that time this neighbour did not understand English. Because my grandmother was dead this neighbour said: 'Marie van Kuijk niet hier' (not here)' while gesturing at the alley. So the man in uniform left with the envelop. I always wondered if the man in uniform was really Elvis. I wish this neighbour had taken the envelop for our family to read.

Red & Sonny had to know after their book "Elvis What Happened" came out that Elvis was finished with then as friends. That book made Elvis look terrible and I will never understand how they could put that crap in a book. I bet Elvis would've never spoken to them again and I dont blame him. How Red & Sonny felt that they didnt do anything wrong by writing that book I will also never understand. Red & Sonny had to know they were ruining or at least hurting Elvis' image very, very, very, much. I just can't understand other than greed why they would write it. Dave, I can get him writing it as he only knew Elvis a couple years but Red & Sonny were like family.

@@efmelvisfansmatter1129 The truth is what you should say, that you didn’t know June and did not know anything about her and Elvis’ relationship therefore you can’t comment on it. You were 11 when they met and Jo probably 8. You and Jo passed her off negatively as if she was just a “fly by night” when that was absolutely not the case at all. She was interviewed extensively years ago by George Klein and Peter Guralnick. She was very important to Elvis at a particular time in his life. Gladys expected her to be Elvis’ wife. She was similar to them in background being from Mississippi and Elvis asked June to wait 3 years for him. Obviously you didn’t know anything about her and you should have stated that, but you didn’t. And too bad you didn’t because she was a good lady (still alive)and a good person and she loved and spoke so wonderfully about Elvis and his love for his mother.
