Hi Staci. We really enjoy Aunt Granny’s. For me Steve the chicken is about the best fried chicken around here. At least the best none spicy fried chicken. I don’t know if you all have been to Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken in Knoxville but we think that is the best over all fried chicken this side of Nashville. I really appreciate your innovative approach to describing your visit and meal at Aunt Granny's. I've noticed that you tend to use this approach in other videos that I have watched. I like it, because I am spared all the background noise and the two of you can be more up and personal and your narrative is supplemented with short clips of what you ate. You did exceptionally good review of Aunt Granny's - you had me spell-bound! My wish is to one day visit Dollywood (I am from Ottawa, Canada), and for sure if I go I will visit Aunt Granny's.

Hi Karen. Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes we don’t like the background noise in the restaurants that the camera microphone picks up. The older I get SK the more I get distracted by noise and people moving around so it is better for us to do a narration of the video later at our home office. In the south you can’t over cook green beans

Every item was really good the green beans for some reason lacked a little flavor. My grandma would put bacon or ham in the green beans while they were cooking. We still ate the green beans but if we had to pick something that was not the best that day it would be the green beans. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience.

So it’s a family style restaurant. The green beans and the pot roast for me would stay in the kitchen. I could just I’ll up on the catfish. The salad looked just average. If given the chance not sure I would hurry to visit the establishment.

For us it is the best bang for your buck at Dollywood if you are going to eat inside the park. There is better places to eat outside the park but we like to spend the day walking around Dollywood and the quick service food is expensive for what you get. The other good option is Celebration Hall buffet where you can put what you want on your plate. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

I know you can put your name on a list for a table at Aunt Granny's but can you request a certain time or is it just whenever they have a table open?

@@christinecampbell2525 As far as I know it is just when a table is open. We have been there about four times now and only had to wait once and that was a day Dolly was there. We have not tried to get in during the summer so far.

@@stevekibler I appreciate the help. We are going for the first time for opening weekend of the Christmas festival and this is the one place we really want to try. Just trying to figure out if it's easier to get in for lunch or dinner.

@@christinecampbell2525 Best Time is always between lunch and dinner time however going on an opening day is a crazy busy time. We have found that Sundays after an opening event or holiday is not too bad. We went on Sunday after Thanksgiving one time and no wait. We hope you have a great experience when you do get there.
