I this this cake is adorable! I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of pokemon but I have watches a bit of the cartoon. I think kids or any fan of pokemon would love this. I was a little confused when you put the blue fondant on there. And once you started writing I thought that was an amazing touch. And haha poor pikachu and eevees ears broke. Thought that was funny when you tried to hide it. Adorable

Hi! I love how this turned out! I am just beginning using fondant and I am quite a bit nervous, lol. I have one question, how much fondant did you use for each color? I was looking at the packages at Walmart and some are 4.4oz up to 56oz. I won't need this after this cake so I don't want to buy too much more than needed. And if you have any little hacks or advice, please share with me! And wish me luck!! =)

Thank you Lindsey! Fondant is tricky when using it for the first time. My first few times were a flop lol! I don't remember exactly how much I used for each half, but if I were to hazard a guess, I would say 1.5 lbs each. If you have the time and ambition, try making your own Marshmallow fondant. It's only 3 ingredients, and tastes WAY better than store bought. OR, if you have a hobby lobby nearby, use a 40% off coupon and purchase fondant there to save a bit $$. Here is a link to my Marshmallow fondant, but there are other really good youtube tutorials out there as well : kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKTdYaN4i8Zgn5Y
