We enjoyed listening to your wonderful rendition of this song we wrote many years ago for the students in our high school choirs. Thank you for including it in your repertoire and sharing it with your audiences. Blessings . . . Nancy Price and Don Besig

When I was in elementary school every year there would be a performance were all of the choirs in the district would sing this song for this woman who was a music teacher, she died of cancer and this was her favorite song. And even though it has been 4 years as since I first heard this song it will always have a special place in my heart.

When the world seems for beyond me, and I have no place to go. When my life seems cold and empty, and I feel I’m all alone. Then a song that I remember helps to ease my troubled mind, and I find the strength within me to reach out just one more time. For as long as I have music, as long as there’s a song for me to sing, I can find my way, I can see a brighter day. The music in my life will set my spirit free. When the road is dark and lonely and I feel I want to cry. When the dreams I keep inside me seem to fade and almost die. Then I call upon my music, and it helps to dry my tears. And I know that I can make it. I’ll go on despite my fears. For as long as I have music, as long as there’s a song for me to sing, I can find my way, I can see a brighter day. The music in my life will set my spirit free. Set it free!

@DonBesig Thank you very much for your kind words. I am a former member of this chorus, and this song is one of my favorites. This particular arrangement is by Eudenice Palaruan, an alumnus of the Philippine Madrigal Singers (Madz). The Madz is one of the most acclaimed choirs from the Philippines. They popularized this version of your song; it is already a classic in the Philippine choral tradition. We have you to thank for that:-)

I was closing my eyes listening to this, so beautiful love the rendition of the piece !! Except when I heard the Siren of the ambulance or fire truck (3:48) . I thought it was part of the choir ,that was annoying -_- , But i love the singing :) Good Work

Listening to this with my eyes closed was a good idea. The tempo was very slow, though, but the interpretation was still successful in echoing the melancholy and hopefulness of the song's lyrics.
