Aur Anuj - Award Winning Hindi Short Film - Heart touching story of family

#Synopsis
Harish and Sadhana have an eight-year-old son, Anuj, who is chronically ill. Harish loves him, but Sadhana blames Anuj for their troubles, especially after Harish loses his job due to drinking and gambling. Their financial situation becomes desperate, and Sadhana loses patience. Harish promises to change and finds a new job, but he breaks his promise and drinks again. Angry and fed up Sadhana, leaves home with Anuj. Sadhana's desperate attempt to resolve their situation is revealed in the end.

Heart touching short film depicting the harsh reality of life for crores of poor people living in a hand to mouth situation. Ajit Ji's performance is very convincing and it depicts very accurately how a poor person who is trying to improve and stop drinking and gambling is almost forced back into the same muck whwn he mingles with society. Although he only drank once and even earned/won some money, what his wife did in anger was the worst thing a mother could do to her child, especially a specially abled child. But im sure this has happened in real life with many children who were abandoned and the short movie sort of presses on a nerve that hurts.

This is a true depiction of Real India, its day-to-day struggles with limited resources and frustrations. However, the end was unexpected. No person is to be blamed for child's condition; it is all Providence. Sadhna being a mother, although frustrated and hapless, would have accepted Anuj's condition as done by Harish; leaving the little child alone in the train is no solution to life's troubles. But this is life with a big question mark [?]. Powerful script with equally powerful performances. Harish surpassed all.

It is of the reasons that I don't plan to have a kid and I am already 40. It's not even about the money for me. Even that 1 in million possibility of this scares the shit of me. I have dogs. And my only wish is to die after all my dogs have, as I know they are completely dependant and can't survive without me.. Same will be the equation if my kid happens to be a down syndrome.. Just 10 times more difficult. Sorry for a long message and thanks if u read till end. 🙏
