That was the golden era. Every artist was not only great in his/her individual might, the sincerity and honesty with which they formed the teams and created classics is unparalleled. They were not paid much as they all belonged to pre and post-partition time, but even in poverty they performed very well. Shailendra uncle was on top of those artists. Kaash he would have been in a position to curb his producer instincts, could have lived 20 years more. I remember Sahir Ludhianvi Saheb lines today which though he had said for himself but equally fit for Shailendra Uncle ji, Na moo chupa ke jiye hum Na sar jhukha ke jiye hum Ab ek raat agar cum jiye to cum hi sahi Yahi bahut hai ke hum maashale jala ki jiye.
