To convert his religion to Islam When Chhatrapati Sambhaji didn't agree to any of the demand. Chhatrapati Sambhaji said "Sambhaji 7 baar jiega 7 baar marega lekin hindu dharm kabhi nahin chhodega" Aurangzeb agar mera ek bhi beta tumhari tarah hota Tripura Hindustan Fateh kar leta.Then Aurangzeb order to peeled of his skin nails cut the tongue. He tortured him 21 days cut the body and thrown in the river. Maratha found the body and do the last cremation. Karma hit Aurangzeb and Aurangzeb died at Deccan. Mughal Empire decline.

According to letters contained between Shivaji and Aurangzeb and also documented in contemporary Mughal and Rajput sources, Shivaji wrote letter to Aurangzeb, requesting for forgiveness, pardoning his offenses, bestowing his life and granting security to his family. In the letter, Shivaji wrote with great humility, calling himself slave, offender and sinner who would perform services under Aurangzeb with his life. Aurangzeb, impressed with the flattery, sent royal decree to Shivaji on 15 September 1665, forgiving him under the terms offered by Jai Singh and honored him with honourable robe.
