Great video! I have a question though- I am planning on purchasing an iPad/Auria Pro for on-the-go idea forming, demoing, and maybe the occasional small *real* project. Would I have to buy a newer/expensive iPad to run AP smoothly, or could I get away with getting a 2nd or 3rd gen? My budget is around 250-275 preferably. I don't plan on doing big sessions (I have Pro Tools 11 on my Mac for that), but I would like something that I could go to the park and make music with. Hope that's not a dumb question, I'm just god awful with technology. Thank you :)

Hi, it's a good question, Wave Machine Labs who are the makers of Auria Pro say that you will not have a good time with anything less than an iPad 4 and recommend an Air and for best results an Air 2, in fact they even mentioned the iPad 3 as one to avoid running Auria Pro on

+thesoundtestroom Definitely not in my projected budget, but hey. Maybe my tax return will be a little more plentiful this year? Thanks for the answer :)

+thesoundtestroom My apologies: I just found the place on their website that they say this.

+Randie Strouse If the smaller screen size isn't a big issue you can get a new-refurbished mini 2 for 229. it has the same specs like the air1 and is way lighter for sessions on the go. The only con is the smaller screen size.

Doug, your original video on Auria was helpful. Would love to see a "Getting started" video(s) for Auria Pro ..This product is huge for iOS..(.I'll be making g a small donation to STR later tonight lol)

Hi, I'm being a bit stupid because I don't know how to open the information window on the track. I have tried to slide the track label to the side to see the information but no luck. I would be grateful if you could help. Thanks. Lyn

Yeah it is a bit odd, but you just tap the FX tab at the top of the channel you want to edit or use an instrument in

Lyn Levett: Are you having the same problem I'm having? Auria Pro just looks different than the older version..I think I'm just gonna download the original one, watch the "Lynda.com" and soundtestroom tutorials and go on the Pro afterwards....great app though and great video here!

Auria Pro looks enticing. It costs a lot but there's also value in there. Anyone know the difference between the old Auria Lite and the new Auria, apart from sample rates higher than 44.1kHz?

ok just got it. but I'm really having a hard time adding vocals ? I'm importing an mp3 and would like to add my vocals ... heeeeeelllp!

There is a wealth of youtube tutorials, guides and the old fallback, the manual. I just now bought and installed Auria Pro and starting my own learning adventure. That's half the fun. (well, might be exaggerating on the last part .. the real fun is the music itself ;)) Good luck , n' hope you've made good progress in the last year.

How do you get the Lyra sampler up on your screen? I've tried and tried and I can't find it anywhere! Please help Sound Test Room!!
@TheSoundTestRoom9 жыл бұрын
I know, it's not obvious is it, so first you press the FX tab above the channel to get you to the midi edit and fx screen, where it says instrument, just below that is a drop down menu browser, that displays the current instrument sound and is also where you chose which instrument you want to use on a particular track, i.e LYRA, Twin 2 or Fabfilter ONE or any of the Inter App Audio stuff. Just to the right of the drop down menu is a little button that says "e" just tap that and it will bring up the instrument.
