You have to have a team comp like a group party and a team combo solo is no good

Good advice from @zacharystalling6839 , If you have a team you can plan your builds and check them in couple runs and make corrections in it, and with randoms people usually split if they fail...

Why flamer, though? I'm genuinely asking, I'm still learning the game, and I would love to know the pros and cons of the flamer.

He can make quick work of everything except Crushers, so if there are 20 Ragers, 6 Bulwarks and other trash at once, you can kill them all in 10 seconds or less. Plus it has almost the best boss damage and a good stagger on it's main attack. Only problem is range, and it is generally slow weapon, with slow everything, movement is also, but you can compensate some of it weakness with throwing knifes, and mobile melee weapon (usually players use knife with bleed + throwing knifes). I got used to use it despite the shortcomings, since I mostly use it with Thunder Hammer Mk II and with Immolation grenades.

It is stressful, but at this point being in the game for so long, regular auric maelstrom are too easy, so this is just fine.

I thought it was stressful at first too (in Vermintide 2 mind you), but when it all comes together, and you pull through by the skin of your teeth, you feel like you're a God!
