This video showed perfectly how dependant on its team is Auriel. When the team worked together you could heal and be agressive a lot and it payed very well, when the team didn't do that shit hit the fan. It amazed me that Lili has less winrate %, but i guess that could be because she's picked a lot more (idk for sure).

I remember when Auriel was a key part of the pro scene (before Activision/Blizzard killed that off). Her manaless AoE healing combined with a strong single target healer allowed for hypercarry comps, and people raged about how 'boring' the double healer meta was.

They always take steps to make Auriel more self sufficient and then backpeddle out of it when people actually play her. Last one was 'resurrect is too strong, better nerf her damage' and then she was back to being energy starved.

Can definitely agree on the flight talent. Like Stitches getting the hook range baseline, Auriel's flight is just a fun thing that can come in clutch at times, but isn't really strong enough to justify losing a level 20 talent for. Make it a quest baseline or simply automatic unlock at 16 or something. She could use a buff as seen by her winrate, this would work great for that.

Going into solo que with Auriel is so frustrating. No DPS players in team, ever. Having to chase people to heal them. Can have 3 heavily injured people nearby with full energy, but they refuse to band together for big heal even if entire enemy team is dead.

@@Caldera01 I think the only even more frustrating healer experience belongs to Ana Players with people dodging your Qs all the time :D that being said, If you ever have the privilege of playing Auriel together with a somewhat experienced Zarya, oh Boy that can really mess people Up. Aside from the constant healing and shielding + heal damage from lvl 1 Talent, you are never running out of resources, that sustain makes even Most 3v2 situations a breeze, its really fun!

Hey!!!!!!! I'm that Auriel! GG, that was one of my most frustrating Auriel games, and she's one of my favorite heroes. Your lashes completely neutralized my usual playstyle, but what a fun old time. Would love to go head to head in a friendly 5v5 sometime if you wanna do some more Auriel :)

Auriel is actually my favourite healer. This is basically the build I normally do. Of course, if I need the blind, I choose that over the E talent at 13. I also like the globe talent at 7 sometimes, to help with the 16 quest later on.

Unfortunately, the Malth needed to be forced into a situation that he clearly wasn't comfortable with, hence Pally trying so hard to cheerlead and give advice late in the game. Normally Pally doesn't type more than a few words here and there, that Malth got full sentences of advice because he was critical to the team's success as the only frontline/diver.

I gotta say... I think (as a Malth player) even in the best scenario, Malthael would be an okay battery. Chromie or Zagara are far better overall, and especially in this match were Malth is the only front line. He doesn't have a great engage, and if he does engage, he's squishy and facing a lot of burst damage on the enemy team. Zag and Chromie have good poke, wich i thinks was the best bet in this match. Even so, GG. Auriel hella tough in quickmatch

Pally, if you're going the Searing Light + Reservoir build, you should try out Glimmer at level 7. The math works out so that no matter how big your reservoir is, if you have a globe and full energy you can searing light + slap the minion wave and end up with full energy--and hey, you get another globe! You can cascade your way to a crazy high reservoir this way.

Mals alt is good when you couple the 8% hp wraith strike and aoe talents. That ult resets the cool down of wraith strike allowing for 3 strikes shortly.

I despise Butcher in quick match. There is a distinct lack of coordination with most QM teams and, of course, it is random whether there will be any Butcher counters like blinding. I'd even go so far as to claim Butcher's presence in QM makes many matches unfun.

You just gotta focus on always being useful while you can. There were a lot of moments where you could be attacking the objective or minion wave but were just standing around in the back. All good tho, better luck next time!

I feel like Auriel would feel better if her energy was more like the inverse of Alarak's Sadism. Where it would just make her heal do more if she had high energy, but she still had something to offer when she's at 0 energy

8-1 now following your builds. This was pretty lopsided but felt like it had little to do with me. I played alright but not really noteworthy. This is mostly the build I play already but with a different 1 and 10 pick. I did like the level 1 pick though and will definitely use it more in the future.

Searing Light is particularly oppressive against dive heroes like Malthael, Illidan, or Qhira. They jump you or a friend, you heal your team for 700, while dealing 230 to them. Try pairing it with the slowing whip at 4 to really punish them for diving. But against your standard two ranged assassins, a tank, and a bruiser, fast clap or sometimes even damage clap quest is better.
