To people asking why this isn't on her album All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend, well it's a simple explanation. She recorded a studio version and wasn't satisfied with it so she didn't include it in the album. Sad.

@@covancide Wisdom Cries is only on the "extended" version of the album. And if she'd been that dissatisfied with the recording she could have re-recorded it, but didn't. I suspect other concerns, such as a concern about being too "morbid" that Aurora expressed in some of her early interviews where apparently her team had noted that she could get typecast as a "creepy girl" and end up having to wear black and wear goth jewelry for the rest of her career if she put too many songs that were clearly about death or dying on her first album.

@AL I think part of the problem is that Aurora and her team didn't want the album to be too "morbid" for fear of Aurora being typecast as a "creepy girl" too. She didn't want to have to dress in black with goth jewelry for the rest of her career like poor Chelsea Wolfe. If she wasn't happy with the recorded version of the song it could have been re-recorded if she'd insisted, but given the concern about the album being too "morbid", well. Another song ended up on the album. Something that I think she regretted afterwards, because she made a different decision on the next album when there was a complaint that "Queendom" could make it seem like a girly girl power album for girls, she rejected that concern and went with it as the lead song on the album.

That is such a great performance and an absolutely wonderful sound recording of this great song (that never made it to the album which bares its name). The sound is full spectrum. This doesn’t sound like a mobile phone recording but a proper DSLR camera with perhaps a decent mic attached. If the laughter and other audience sounds were somehow filtered out it would make an excellent audio track. I love it when Odd Martin does some crazy stuff near the end on him piccolo bass. Thanks so much for this. I’m seeing her in March - 3 times in one week - in Australia 🇦🇺

The only reason I think aurora didnt put it in her album is this song is more depressing and provoking for self harm I had this on loop around may, I attempted twice, I stopped listening her for some months. Now, I make sure I watch her concerts only...
