Yes, great to see real time. I finally got to see the Aurora two years in the Yukon, after numerous trips north. I really wasn’t sure how the Aurora moved since all films are time lapse. So this really captures it. By the way, I watched the aurora at Watson Lake, Yukon, for nearly two hours, the most beautiful natural thing I have ever seen..

I live in Finnish countryside, by the sea. In winter the sea freezes and you can walk far on it so it's completely dark around you and there's only the northern lights above you. If you're lucky enough there's no snow on the ice and you can almost see the reflect of the light on it. To me northern Europe is the best place to see northern lights, especially Finland since there's no relief to block the view. Also winters are not too cold (rarely worse than -20 -30°C, especially on the coast where it's a bit warmer and windy).

Much more overwhelming in real life, Its still special for me after 35 years, and they over my house every night for months. The tourists here have emotional breakdowns the first time. The air feels electric, and the lights make a kind of "silent music"...at least thats how it feels when you are watching them. It's not unlike this music, just on a whole different level, totally mental and physical. Best place to start the journey is up north, Tromso is the only real city that far north, and the hub for explorers and scientists from all over the world.

They’re not even focused around Alaska most of the year. The borealis is focused across a large span of the far Northeast, the most prevalent spot covers most of Greenland and Switzerland. Although, they have been seen almost all across the North, the peak for seeing them in Alaska is in March. It typically starts about late April and goes through till about mid-September.

When I was on my trip to Iceland in late September of 2019, me and my friends really hit the peak, I would say. We were there for 10 days, and almost half of nights greeted us with these breathtaking lights. The second to last night was the most beautiful experience I've ever had under the night sky. Maybe it is due to my love to astronomy and everything space related...we camped in the middle of nowhere, close to a very friendly family with a campsite near their farm. No surrounding lights, just these beautiful colors dancing for long, long time. I stood there, then sat down and just started crying looking at the sky. Since then, I dream about returning to Iceland, just to experience everything once again. You have to see it at least once in your lifetime. Thank you for this video!

I've seen (and registered with my mobile phone) one morning, the most colorful and epic Dawn I've ever witnessed, couldn't believe my eyes...it happened in 1 minute but the clouds did their job filtering the Sun in a gracious way :) Sky was still dark blue and grey, and the contrast with the full red, orange, yellow clouds, was totally like an ''enhanced movie''. It hadn't a single photoedition, just the RAW pictures from my phone, and people couldn't believe it. For moments I was just in total awe because it looked soooo unrreal! And started to shoot again...stopped...started again...then shared it in whatssapp minutes after. People thought the series was taken from google images or something...

I was feeling suicidal, then this popped up. Thank God. I saw lights like these in real time in 1978 while I was a counselor at a camp in Vermont. Some campers got up in the wee hours to pull a prank and started yelling. We all woke up and ran down to the big field and our mouths fell open. We lay down in the grass. Some of us held hands, some of us cried, some just stared. It went on for nearly three hours, with every color and formation possible. It was the Fourth of July. Aside from my newborn daughter, I will never see anything this beautiful on Earth again.

On wikipedia it is stated that the lights are created, because on the poles the solar winds aren't strongly blocked by the magnetic field of earth. Because of that, charged particles like electrons and protons get redirected by the solar winds and those hit and transfer their energy into the air molecules. Those energized molecules then loose the energy by sending out light in a certain color. For the air on earth it is green and a little red. There are aurora borealos in other colors on the poles of our other planets with magnetic fields in our solar system. They are reallybeautifull and hope to see them once in. my life!

Thank you. I just wish I get to see the Northern Lights in person one day. Just watching it as a video is amazing but I can only imagine what it feels like just to look up and see it right there, the lights just dancing across the night sky slowly fading in and out. Even for a few seconds just being in awe of just how beautiful this world can be.

I was stationed at Eilson AFB Alaska from 1993-1996 and to this day the Aurora Borealis is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.

I have witnessed these lights and they are mezmerizing. I can remember sometimes they were really close to the ground and then other times they were higher. They had an electric feel and kind of crackling. This was during deep frigid nights. I have seen them dance across the night sky and very colorful. Other times not so much movement. This was from Fairbanks AK.

So Beautiful . A double rainbow appeared over me this afternoon. I captured both sides above me in pictures as I exited Target. Closest I will ever get in my lifetime to seeing this up close . A rainbow above my head. I love to watch this and star gaze also thinking about our Universe. What is truly our purpose. I think about returning to the Stars. Mankind.
