"“Cure For Me” is a single to AURORA’s upcoming third studio album. In an interview with NME, AURORA talks about how the track was inspired by countries that still have legalized conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ people. This song is an anthem of self love and how we are all perfect no matter our differences or what society may deem as “irregular.” Sonically, the track experiments with a more “playful” sound different from what AURORA has done in previous songs". 😁🏳️🌈

Well, she said she wrote this song in reference to conversion therapy that's forced on LGBTQIA+ people worldwide. Aurora doesn't like to confine herself to any specific label (the last I heard) but she doesn't feel attraction exclusively to men. So this is an issue that's close to her heart, too. So Exist for Love could definitely be thematically linked with Cure for Me; the former is a love ballad and this one could be her turning around and flipping off anyone who has a problem with her loving that person.

I felt like the "you" she is addressing the song to is anyone, perhaps a lover, that seeks to try and fix her, or help her with her issues. In the behind the scenes of "exist for love" she says that the song is to celebrate all kinds of love,so i think this song is not a 'break up' song,i think is more of an 'i dont care how people perceive me or if they think im weird,i created myself,i love myself and im not gonna let you say oterwhise' type of song (I've seen people fighting in the responses of this comment, please, this is just what i think the songs means, everyone can give their own meaning, thats what art is for)

this song is about the "typical" fight between ppl which are "depending" and ppl which are "independent". usually the dependend one is clinging, running after the independend one, takes the breath of the independend one, and so on.... the dependend one mostly does not understand that she/he looks for "healing" in the other one. the independend one understood that she/he is the one who has to heal her/himself (being selfsufficient - while the dependend one looks for sufficience from "the outside"). so yes - this song is ALSO about "break up" ;) she sings "you get hurt" "no we dont belong together" "moving heart i got"........ bcs: the dependend one receives the "energy" from the independend one. but the independend one does not need this energy, bcs she/he is selfsufficient - while the dependend one starts to blame the other and feels hardly hurt and mostly tends to find another one to heal.... the independend one just does not need this "cure".

Man the timing of this. I don't know as an empathy whose emotions have always been thought to be something to be cured, I totally relate to this. Reminds me of the quote 'I cry, as much as I laugh with heart'. (Something like that) ✨ No cure for me ✨ I need people to accept me, not try to fix me up! Makes sense. And THAT LINE ABOUT GOD'S DESCRIPTION OF LOVE. WOW. JUST WOW. No matter what Aurora makes, her words have more meaning than anything. I really like this. Ofc we all are humans, our love is supposed to be messy, stained and sometimes ugly too. That makes us human, and leaves opportunity for growth. If God did not know that, we would not be hearing stories of their reincarnation as humans. 😄 Thank you Aurora

So this is almost scary. Recently diagnosed, I was watching some videos on the subject and this track pops up. I heard a track of hers before, but went in pretty much blank. The first thing that popped into my mind as I was watching this was how much many music videos are, at the very least, divergent... Hahah. Like, I was thinking "If I was walking around town like that people would look at me very strangely". And that goes for many videos, but it struck me more with this track. And that was before I started listening to the lyrics, which are indeed quite relatable, coupled with the way she moves and articulates. So when I went to the comments and yours was the second comment, it was... a little shocking. But in a good way!

I'm a metalhead, I really like brutal vocals, but Aurora is just outstanding. Her smooth and delicate voice is like... Cure for me :D

Aurora is just beyond adorable and lovable. If someone says they don't like her, they're lying to themselves.
