I genuinely think she sounded better at Rough Trade East than she did on the studio recording, it's so genuine and pure. I'm excited for the spectacle of the full band tour shows but this was a special gig I'm really glad I got to see :)

She bargains with the world So everything she wants will come to her With no greed inside her mind She knows what she deserves We fell from sky with grace And landed in her soft and warm embrace She gave her love, her gift of life So we could live with her That is why we live like heathens Stealing from the trees of Eden Living in the arms of freedom And everything we touch is evil That is why we live like heathens The stone, the dirt, the dust The unforgiving promise made to us Unworthy of your light, your god, your touch We're guided by the lust We cry the fallen names We cry for those who burned beneath the flame We stand beside the good and brave The broken and enslaved That is why we live like heathens Stealing from the trees of Eden Living in the arms of freedom And everything we touch is evil That is why we live like heathens Everything you touch Will be Hers Our mother with no heart Will give Love Her love is yours But only if you give your heart to her That is why we live like heathens Stealing from the trees of Eden Living in the arms of freedom And everything we touch is evil That is why we live like heathens That is why we live like heathens That is why we live like heathens

Love her music... but her understanding of the Bible is incorrect... Eve didn't give us the freedom of choice to do good or evil, God did when he made us. Adam and Eve wouldn't have been able to choose to fall into temptation and choose to eat the fruit if they didn't have free will already. True freedom is the freedom from sin that comes with the love of God and wanting to do His will above our own and to love everyone, even our enemies. We should be thanking Mary for saying yes to God to carry our Lord to us through her sacred womb, she birthed our salvation, Jesus. Jesus frees us from the slavery of sin when we turn away from sin and turn toward God.
@Catastrophic_31 Жыл бұрын
God did and condemn us through Eve so. She and we decide to honour her for her burden instead. Plus this is not real. This story telling is for social purpose, not because we believe it
@AnastasiaA31 Жыл бұрын
@@Catastrophic_31 you might not believe it but many Christians and Catholics do believe.

@@AnastasiaA31 and it's not for them it's for people they oppress
@AnastasiaA31 Жыл бұрын
@@Catastrophic_31 the very point of being Christian or Catholic is for personal relationship with God and eternal salvation of the soul. We evangelize and hope others will come to know the truth and turn away from the temptations from the devil. It is a choice to love God and live according to his will and not our own selfish desires. It's not to oppress anyone but give them the option and choice to love as Jesus Christ loved us. He died to reconcile us to God. And asks that if we wish for that we must repent of our sins and follow his way and not the way of the flesh.
@Catastrophic_31 Жыл бұрын
@@AnastasiaA31 I am literally an ex-christian and even non christians won't such information at this point, everyone knows what you are going to say. If it's so truely about personal relationship with God you do not need to be around others responds to religious society and scriptures. No one can force any time of rweedlationshio to others
