I feel like she really hasn't changed much. Sure, each song is different, but I don't feel like she's had some sort of drastic transformation that is unexplainable by simply growing as a person. The lyrics are all in the same vein, the music is unique. The only thing I can think of is that we've formed deeper connections to her old work cause its been around longer and we were all younger, and we've had less time to form connections to this new work she's made.
@olehoole4418Ай бұрын
i think that's what makes her sort of unique. with all the same words and essence of music she makes in general, she still creates something new to discover for us and for herself too. but ofc there are things that change over time naturally like vocals (speaking of vocals omg what happened to the heart is amazing), band and more. cannot help but think she doesn't need words so much. it's just that we as people are used to be communicating with words.

A good way to look at is that she hasn't exactly become a new person, shes just different now. These songs aren't an echo of the past, they're a part of her and her music still. Everyone goes through changes and is different over the years, but they're still themselves. That never truly changes. Your past is and will always be a part of you and your future. Edit: Basically, as people when we evolve we dont replace our old selves, we grow upon it.
@adriWHTTH2 ай бұрын
She will always have "Through the eyes of a child" or "Running With The Wolves" in her mind but that does not mean that she should get stuck in just one alley on the broad path of life, that makes her an artist, first because she isn't forced to do things that she does not like or enjoy and secondly because her change and search for new stories and emotions that she finds enrich her more, I feel that each album she has made describes her maturity and sings what the world at some point in time your life will show you.

2014 is nothing more and less than the revelation of an angel, of the best and most beautiful singer songwriter ever, it is really crazy how brilliant she was back then. Runaway, winter bird, Lucky, through the eyes of a child, i went to far, under stars, awakening and so on. what other artist can do that? This overview shows it very nicely. what I still wonder now is, how can someone write songs like infections of a different kind, this should actually be impossible but Aurora does it. Falling asleep to "Stjernestøv" after a hike while lying on the grass at Norwegian Fjords at Nordfjordeid. Listening to "Vinterens Gåte" while watching the Northern Lights in Polar Night at Norwegian island of Svalbard. Listening to "Home" while swinging on the swing in Stavanger. Listening to "Nature Boy" while sitting under the tree in the forest near Trondheim. Listening to "The River" while kayaking on the river in Olden village. Listening to "Churchyard" while skiing in Voss. Listening to "Running With The Wolves" with the Warriors while watching Aurora Live in Oslo. So many beautiful memories.

There are some curiosities about some of the release dates. Her songs from Infections of a Different Kind were already being played live more than two years before. Also "Bring Back the Colour" was a very old unreleased song called "The Sun" (the unreleased version is way better to me). She also have some really good unreleased songs like Silhouettes, Broken Satellites and The Architect from the same era. She also has a whole album in norwegian but I believe it isn't available from outside of Norway, you may need some VPN to access it online.
