I was told in my late teens that I had moderate depression. Whatever that meant but I was starting feel unmotivated and I didn't really enjoy things I like to do. I mean I liked to do them but I didn't love them. It has affected me for the majority of my 20s. So much that it's completely destroyed my confidence at time but I've always stuck to being a nice and kind person. I would never want to hurt anyone intentionally and I can be silly at times. I stopped caring about how old I'm getting but I'm afraid I would have to change to be a "better/normal" person. It's even harder (at least for me) when you live in big city. I heard a few of Aurora's songs but never really gave it a listen until recently and it's different from anything I've heard before. It's powerful, and the way she is herself is so satisfying to see. I love it. She's so confident in herself and speaks deep into you with her music. She's not perfect obviously but she radiates hope like no other artist in my opinion. It's no surprise why the people that appreciate her music love her so much.

It is good not to follow every impulse because some impulses, and for some individuals most, don't come from a pure place, but rather out of emotion and reactivity. It is wonderful to acknowledge and attend to our animalistic needs but you must learn not to be taken over by them or to indulge in them. This human being might express herself out of a place of purity and the fact that she is cuddly and cute makes her a lovely embodiment of this playful innocence that we are destined to realize in our lives. But make sure you don't take her advice as an excuse to fulfill every desire and justify every emotion that dwells within you. To acknowledge them, certainly, but do not become them. The rest of her advice is golden in my opinion. Love the earth, not the world. Give yourself permission to express yourself being freed of any form of conditioning and enjoy being what you are. You are living this life to enjoy it. That is truly the only reason. But to know what that means, you must first realize what it is to be joyful, since joy and beauty and rightness, which are one and the same, have nothing to do with being happy all the time, or with getting everything you want.

Should we really get life advice from someone that wants to avoid thinking about right and wrong and to follow impulses? To live in the world with other people in a peaceful, respectful way requires suppression and thought, the exact opposite that she suggests. @@inteusproductions Peace and suppression doesn't go well together in my opinion. Psychologists know, like most of us, that suppression leads to several mental issues. Depression, for example, is characterized by a lack of connection to our emotions. I agree that one should try to be good. But thought is not required in order for that. I see your point and yes she is a freethinking Scandinavian, but she has always been that way. She did not have friends at school, and when she did exceptionally well on a IQ test they all took, her classmates said it was because she was autistic. She did her own thing, spacing out in class or while talking to people, she dressed extremely weird, so much so that her two elder sisters was afraid for her and what could happen to her at school. So she was not looked upon as pretty, and her brilliance was used as a slur. She also lost many people in her young life, several to substances abuse, one very close friend to gun violence and another in a car crash. No one knew she was a talented artist, her family did not even know she could sing until she was 14 years old, she did it all in secret just for herself as a diary and as a means to work through her emotions.

If you listen to several of her songs she talks about finding a place that she can call home. She has been through a lot of trials and tribulations to create the music that she gives to the world. But yes, she does have white privilege and it’s important that we celebrate wisdom coming from POC and all of their intersections alongside her wisdom. Not everyone can see themselves in Aurora. God! Everything she says is is poetic and beautiful. You can learn and explore so many different things through her words. Aurora can literally change the way you look at things and find beauty and meaning even in the most ugly and meaningless things. I am so thankful I found her...she has changed my perspective completely and I have started admiring every little thing around me. Ah! I love her so much😌💖

I neturally don't listen much to music like the one from this beatiful spirit. but it speaks to me through her personality as i feel very much the same. i am a professional audio producer, musician, sound designer, lecturer. And i never could unserstand people who were soending their lifes inside the stdio the whole day. i work from home. i often go out and work and record in our garden (it is stunning to say the least - but you have to be receptive for the small things like the flowers the trees and the bees). My mixes and productions and composotions are coming from nature and sound like they do. I live my own little life with my wife and my two sons. And my little studio right underneath our wonderful open spaced appartment in that jaw droppingly beautiful old house with wooden floors and high, light flooded rooms. Thank you Aurora for giving me the confirmation that i am not weird. I just think maybe different. I like the solitude. I like family and some close friends. I like swimming in the lake and play my guitars out in the nature. I pray when I do music and sound. It is my way of dealing with this beautiful gift called life. peace

You’re right, it’s because of her childhood and I think the main thing that she is free of is co-dependency and also she has a very healthy self-esteem because of good parenting. “Breaking Free of the Co-Dependency Trap” book is all about it

I love how Aurora sees life, she seems a calm, happy soul. I don't really listen to her music but Aurora as a person, she really inspires me, listening her talking about life gives me hope, gives me strengh to continue and a reason to live; just to exist and live my own life, do the things I want and to not listen what people judgements are about the interests that I have or the way I dress or think :)) she's a shining star
