Hey guys, I wanted to know if I have any k-pop listeners out there, because I'm thinking about reacting to some k-pop groups albums. Also, don't be afraid to drop some of those reaction request down below... PUT ME ON!

Btw, the song "Cure for me" shi didn't go through a heartbreak there. That song is inspired by the countries who still allow conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ folks. She's saying that we don't need a cure for us. Our nature in love is the same as yours, but expressed differently. And the song of "You keep me crawling" is directed specifically to God, and any person that holds dominance over you.

Alright first, I just wanted to say THANK YOU! ❤️... Now, i just noticed it had a music video and I had clicked off of it and opened Spotify and forgot about the music video. SO SORRY, stuff just seems to slip my mind sometimes. I just watched it and it just proved my point that this song gives off old timey like the 80's/90's disco-pop vibes. Overall, love the concept of the video and the song of course.

You are entertaining Danny. Yes - the record is structured to be listened to in sequence. Cure for me is basically an LGTB++ anthem. Arguing that it is not of anybody's business how and who we love (consensually). And going back to the structure - love how you like in Cure for Me before "Crawling" warning about bad examples of love, before going back to the pure beauty of love (etc). "Juxtaposition" is a theme here. Or the complexity of being a human, perhaps? Now, I just subbed to help you to 200. Here is a pro tip. You want to get hold of the Warriors and Weirdos (Aurora's fans - we are a good gang of people). So I am destined to make you react to her performing A) Lucky (Live in the Nidarosdomen concert) and B) The Seed (Live in the HAIK concert, for example) because all W&Ws know one thing - Aurora is best live. And by these two examples I give you A) the emotional and sacral and B) the emotional and uptempo urgent examples of Aurora's live. Just because you seem to get her - check it out. Good luck with the channel (and good on you for making school a priority 👍)

I must say I really enjoyed your reaction 🥰 How often do you love all the songs in an album? For me it’s rare. But I love all the songs on this album, and her other two albums ❤️ But my absolute favourites on this album is: Exhale Inhale You keep me crawling Blood in the wine A Dangerous Thing Everything Matters Exist for love Artemis Ok, I obviously can’t stop😅 Aurora is just something else. She started writing music without lyrics when she found an electric piano in the attic when she was 6 years old, and when she was 9 she began writing songs with English lyrics. Her family didn’t know about her talent until she was about 13 - 14. She’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano 😳😍 She’s a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer, she has it all❤️ She’s born on the 15 of June 1996. And it’s when you see her live performances you understand how unique she is👍 In this video she explains the meaning of the songs on the album: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p56pmHibgt-brM0 For your next Aurora reaction, cause I’m hoping you’ll continue your reaction to her😉 Could you please react to “Through the eyes of a child” live from Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway)? I'm VERY GLAD you enjoyed my reaction! Also, same. I don't often like entire albums, because you know... you have some songs that just don't do it for you, but this album- ALMOST made me snatch off my nana's wig. I DEFINITELY AGREE with you putting Exhale Inhale at the top of your list too because I have been singing, "Exhale, InhaLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!", ALL AROUND my house these past couple days. It's just something about that part of the song I can't get out of my head. Also, I should have updated my list, but Artemis has REALLY grown on me. It's VERY catchy. Thank you so much for this information on Aurora because I was about to do my deep web dive on her. But, I would really like to continue my Aurora reactions to see how her music was back then and how she grew and learned.

@@dannyy2b Ha ha, you’re so funny👍😅 At the beginning I actually wasn’t that excited for Artemis, I liked it but didn’t looove it. But now I really love that song👍 If you want to get to know Aurora, there’s a documentary called “Once Aurora”. It’s a more intimate documentary, you really get to see how much work she does with her music, and you get to see how much she struggles after a concert, I think it is heartbreaking to watch. She’s just not like other artists, and she also is a perfectionist. She’s never quite satisfied with her music, there’s always something to improve 🥰 Looking forward to next reaction 😍 The documentary: “Once Aurora” kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIW8iaqBm7SppNk

@@dannyy2b “Through the eyes of a child is truly one of my favourite performances 😍 I love the whole concert from Nidarosdomen, it’s the most beautiful concert I’ve seen, every song is 👍 Maybe you could react to the whole thing?😉 Some great suggestions: “It Happened Quiet” live at CURRENT “Churchyard” live at KEXP Iceland 2018 “All Is Soft Inside” live at KEXP Iceland 2018 She’s on fire in this concert at KEXP Iceland 👍 “The Seed” live at the HAIK concert. I usually suggest watching the music video, cause it’s a masterpiece and explains a lot of the song. But this performance is so good. The mens choir is a surprise for Aurora, and you can see it in her face😃 About “It Happened Quiet” and “Churchyard”: “‘It Happened Quiet’ and ‘Churchyard’ - which is about someone that is stronger… a grown up with a child, a teacher with a student - someone that takes advantage of their power and uses it in the wrong way. It’s inspired by domestic violence.” AURORA “In my more delusional stories like ‘It Happened Quiet’ and ‘Churchyard’, the victim comes back to haunt the one that hurt them. It’s about the process in becoming a warrior, a true warrior for the world - but you have to work on your own stuff first.” AURORA She has so many great performances it’s difficult choosing 😍 Looking forward to your next Aurora reaction 🤗

Subbed for more Aurora content! Aurora is a magical, angelic being, a wood nymph. I think there's a non-zero chance she was put here by mother nature herself to teach us the way. Oh and she sings pretty good too :) Hmm... I wonder. I can only see two videos you put up, but both have some length. Could you be persuaded to perhaps react to the entire Nidarosdomen concert? Others have done it and most seem to do fine without being copyrighted, but remember to pause every once in a while. That concert is the best possible crash course in getting to know Aurora and her music. It is just so beautiful it defies explanation. It has to be seen and preferably in order. Her voice in that cathedral.... OMG.

Nice review :) ... It's not surprising that you kinda struggled to get the meaning of most songs, Aurora's lyrics are not the easiest to get into, more often than not several layers about them ;). The good news is she likes to leave them open to personal interpretations. And yes, each song of this album is linked to a greek divinity, here's the list according to a quiz she did some months ago : The forbidden fruit of Eden : Gaia Everything matters : Atlas Giving in to the love : Prometheus Cure for me : Panacea You keep me crawling : Persephone Exist for love : Aphrodite Heathens : Persephone The innocent : Eros Exhale, Inhale : Oizys A Temporary high : Chaos A dangerous thing : Peitho Artemis: Artemis Blood in the wine : Dionysus This could be a dream : Morpheus A little place called the moon : Astraeus You could dive into her previous albums if you wish (All my demons greeting me as a friend, Infections of a different kind, and A different kind of human), nothing to be disappointed about, there, to the contrary ;) (imho, this one is her best production-wise, but emotionally speaking, her previous 3 are way ahead). Funny about the ranking as mine is completely different (and it seems to be a "constant" with this album : everyone finds something different in it). Top 3 would be for me Everything matters, Blood in the wine and A little place called the moon. And bottom 3 : Forbidden fruits of Eden, You keep me crawling (though it has grown on me a bit), and Artemis. But also, you should really watch her live, or you'll be missing out on why she's such a great and interesting artist :)

THANK YOU! ❤️ First off, we are SO OPPOSITE in these rankings! But nevertheless, thank you for giving me the list of the gods to each song, because I KNEW I was not tripping when I said these are based on the Greek Gods. Hi, Danny. I've watched a few of the album reactions for this one, and I had a couple of thoughts I wanted to put out there. I think the reviewers do the intro song a slight disservice reviewing on its own, without connection it to Everything Matters. They are in the same key, and basically the same tempo (I've not timed it, but counted the time in my head). To me, it does have an effect, like a curtain opening on the first act. The Frence verse. It is basically a simple story about finding a place to leave flowers, but in a conversation between Pomme and Aurora somewhere here on the the 'tube, she said rather than a translation of the chorus, her attack was to write a verse where the French words and rhythm approximated as closely as she could the sound of the English verses. That's why you could sing them together so well.
@dannyy2b
@dannyy2b 2 жыл бұрын
You know I never really think to count tempo of a song or listen to the key, but I just went back and listened to it and you're right. I can definitely hear it when I focused on it and it does give that curtain opening effect actually. This just goes to show that the order of the tracks on albums can do a lot for the listening experience. Also, THANK YOU for shedding some light on the Pomme's French verse in the song because I was slightly lost in the fact of why it was in the song. But, I did catch how her voice resonated with the sound of the English verse... which was very good by the way.

@@dannyy2b So a little more on the French verse. Much of this album was recorded in an old Norweigan mansion (she refers to it as a castle) that was once owned by a Frenchman who was apparently a patron of the arts. She wanted to add some French in the album to honor the gentleman.
