Aurora is actually 24 years old (will turn 25 in a couple months). This song came out in 2019 when she would have been 22 I think.
@jailaye69293 жыл бұрын
That is correct Jasmo. Depending on when the song came out in 2019 (I have the compact disk in my hand) Aurora would have been 22 or 23 (dob 6/14/1994). My guess is that The Seed was written, then produced the year before. Aurora was most likely a teen when she wrote this song (or developed the idea for it). She has been very vocal for a very, very long time about how people & companies treat Mother Earth. {-.-}

Such a great reaction! This artist is amazing. She's 24 (born in June '96). You really need to react to her song Runaway (she sings it at the Nobel Prize Concert 5 years ago). She wrote it when she was 12. The Seed came out on her 2019 album "A Different Kind of Human - Step 2". As for the writing of the songs and production, she sometimes collaborates with former band mate Odd Martin Skålnes (aka O. Martin, credited co-writer on the songs "Awakening", "Murder Song", "The River" and a few others). And she has mentioned, particularly in an interview with TheVerge, that she will get help from her band mate -- Magnus Skylstad (her current drummer, credited co-writer on songs "I Went Too Far", "Exist For Love", "Warrior", and others) if there's a particular sound she wants but isn't sure how to produce it. As for this song, She wrote the lyrics and melody. Co-writer was Michelle Leonard (orchestral parts and fill). Really enjoy your reactions Schnell. Always make a point to watch them as soon as I see they're posted.

Just wonderful to see you back on Aurora. Loved it. And that question of yours, no better occasion to ask than this moment. For me Aurora is the answer to that question. You will find plenty of artists out there that can sing louder, higher and better technically. But you can find very few, if any, that has her abilities when it comes to delivery, storytelling, stage presence, lyrical meaning and ability to convey emotions and meaningful message. That's way I appreciate so much when reactors like you see, and value Aurora to that extent. This song, this video is epic imo, and at least for yourself you should watch it from the HAIK concert. Now I would love to see you react to a very young Aurora from the 2015 Nobel Peace Price Concert. Murder Song is just as epic as this video, and Runaway is also fantastic, but also has a wonderful video shot in the surroundings, and garden, where Aurora lived in her childhood.

This is a enviroment anthem for me. I suggest the atmospheric and highly important Lucky in Nidarosdomen. This song have everything.... Ok no dancing beat 😉 i don't want to spoil anything but it emotional rate is so high and when i think she wrote the song when she was 9. OMG. Thank you lucky lady!!

I think the most important attributes for singers, musicians and artists in general are purity and authenticity. Only if you have these, you can give real emotions to a song. And only then the audience gets taken away on that emotional journey the way you want it to. That's what fascinates me with Aurora. Most singers try to get there via technique. Never works. Beeing a musician myself I know that struggle. She just allowes herself to be human. To be herself. Most of us forgot how to do that. I think She is simple trying to remind us of what being human is about. Love her for that. Stay healthy, stay true - stay human. Greetings from Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany
@tmstevens933 жыл бұрын
Believability. Do I believe what you are telling me? Do I believe what you are wanting me to feel? That’s what I care about, obviously technicalities and all that stuff are ear candy and we all get that but can I connect with you on the purity of the message you’re conveying and exactly what message are you conveying? That’s what I look for in a great artist. This song was definitely believable in what she wanted to convey to all of us. Such a phenomenal song. Fantastic video my friend! All love ❤️

I am always listening for the voice. Certain notes, pitches are like nails on a chalkboard to me. If I enjoy the voice I will listen to a song. I am about the delivery as well. I listen to whether or not the singer is able to convey the message of the song through emotion. Even if the singers themselves didn't write the song, having the ability to make the song believable is huge. I think this particular song came out in 2018 so Aurora would have been maybe 22 at the time. She writes her music.

I love Aurora. She is a real good human. For me, next to Floor Jansen, Aurora is the best role model one could wish for in a human sense and absolutely natural. And various stars should also take their humanity as an example. And of course they are incredibly good singers with an incredible amount of feeling. And both still know where they come from. No star allures. Just nice people who write and sing songs for other people. They believe in what they stand for and what they say and have not sold their souls. Aurora writes all of her songs since she was 6 years old (piano too). The same goes for the composition. Sometimes together with her band. But she also doesn't like being talked into by others. Her songs, according to her ideas. That's the way it has to be. She doesn't follow her fans. Her fans follow her. In the most positive sense. Her live performances are even better than her official music videos. In her concerts she also really talks to her audience and always at eye level. It is also very funny. She could have been comedian too.

You cannot eat money OH NO! During these crazy political days, I have chosen to only care about one issue, saving our planet. Thankfully we have artists such as Aurora to hopefully make people think about what is most important. If we can no longer survive on Earth as a species, then how is any other issue important?? I have a degree in Earth Science and spent my career helping to prevent thousands of tons of pollution from being emitted. Pollution is waste and waste is costly. Minimizing or eliminating waste therefore saves money. Such simple logic yet we never hear that simple statement. Thanks Schnell for doing your part by continuing to react to Aurora. You cannot eat money OH NO. I agree with you Schnell that the delivery of the song is what is most important to me but I also like artists which are diverse with their music. There is only one band, Boston, which I refuse to listen to since all of their songs sound similar to me.

It is hard to choose with Aurora because every aspect of her music is so on point. But if we have to it must be her delivery of emotion... especially with this song. Her 'old' stuff (written when she was a VERY young girl) is all her, but I believe that she sometimes does a tiny bit of collaboration on occasion with writing nowdays. It's still pretty much all her though. One of her many gold stars is her amazing writing. 🤷🏼♂️❤

This ver is better :O "Haik" in Norwegian means "lift", as in give someone a lift in your car. Haik is a tv program where a celebrity is taken on a one day tour with a tv host. They take the celebrity to different planned events that are a surprise to the guest, in between interviewing the guest about their life and art. For Aurora, she knew that she would be performing a concert at the end of the day, just not where. The woods were on the grounds of a ruined monastery, near her home, that she spent time in when she was young. During the concert she heard testimonials from fans in the crowd about what her music means to them. Her parents were at the front of the crowd, also a surprise for her. She didn't know about the male choir showing up for "The Seed", you can see the surprise in her face. You want to watch the full version of the Haik documentary and concert. It's 1 hour and 16 minutes long: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJDYiGBmfamKpcU. Great reaction!

Actually, Aurora must have been a bit younger than in the video, when she wrote 'The Seed'. And yes, she wrote the lyrics and the music. And she began to perform 'The Seed' live a long time before it appeared on the Step 2 album. Looking at some yt videos, you find her for example perform 'The Seed' live in March 2018, Paris. So she might have written it some time before but at least a couple of months before turning 22 (born June 15, 1996). The Seed also might be her song with the most variations. There are the full band power versions as in the mv, live usually played in a similar way. But then there are stripped down acoustic versions, or a version with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra or, one I personally like quite a bit, a live version with only her and her playing the keyboard for a greenpeace live stream (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWSpeoeQhpiVis0) . Recommend to watch this one (for reaction or just personal pleasure) to see how endlessly capable she is in creating different versions of her songs and still, they all are fantastic.
