My girlfriend tells me that trance is for people that do LSD and want to get 'higher' when taking drugs... She tells me thats why she doesn't like it... But i dont take drugs and ive never have and never even want to now or the future, nor do i think of trance to be of that nature. I see trance as an emotional connection because it brings back so many memories to when I was a kid with my older cousin, he had his new dj set back then, we would play tunes on end for hours and hours on the school holidays. We'd play 2pac, armin, atb and all that other good stuff! especially the tune that goes like "take me awaaaayyy"... Man they were the days... Everythings changed now, im at college, his working 24/7 and everytime i try call him, his always at work, and/or everytime he tries to contact me, im either sleeping or studying... I just wish i could relive those moments with my cousin because that truely was a time where i bonded for the first time with my cousin. and the last time i saw him was exactly less than 12 months ago, when we were burying my other cousin at his death bed... times are hard now i guess...

Trance is a very emotional type of music, it encompasses so many pure emotions. How can a song make us feel so sad and yet also happy? The technical word is euphoria, a feeling that allows us to see the world as painful as it is while simultaneously seeing the beauty in it. Not everyone is capable of understand this about trance. It's like a special language that not everyone can decode, and that's alright. I listen to uplifting trance for the most part, as I believe lyrics are unnecessary unless they are truly meaningful.
