Environmental changes? Residents have planted trees on all previously barren lands bought long ago to build a city of 50,000. Resent tree removal was on planned town road stretches. Auroville was not started as an afforestation project. Blocking road layouts can be labeled Auroville plan changes.

Sorry Jasmin & co, Auroville is a project of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, not of a section of Residents who have little clue about the true aim. Neither SA or Mother ever mentioned re-afforestation or ecology as the most burning issues now, they spoke and wrote elaborately about us having to drop our ego to get connected to divine unity. We humans can be seen as leaves on a divine tree only we don't realize it due to our ego / eco.

50 years ago the term Ecology was not even coined, also the impact of human activity on the planet was no way as dramatic as it is today. Mother naturally could not imagine the environmental devastation we are facing today.

@@susanp5393 The word ecology was coined in 1866 by the German scientist Ernst Haeckel. In 1968 (!!) the elite Club of Rome formed and met at the Rockefeller estate at Bellagio. Same agenda as the WEF today: they can fly and consume to their greed's content, while the 99.99% others has to reduce all kinds of footprints to net zero. They bought up all Western MSM and here we are.
