At the end it's all up to you, how good you are in this job, what kind of knowledge, skills and qualifications do you have. With enough passion and enthusiasm, you can do lot of things in this career. There are many opportunities waiting for you. You did pretty well so far and the language is something you will learn very quickly with the apprenticeship program and your co students. Find some options for some after-work activities and get togethers.

I loved the kitty part when your husband was speaking 😂 I'm glad you spoke of Baden-Württemberg because that's where I'm looking into. It amazes me to read that many German healthcare workers leave the country because of salary and I just see how as a recently graduated doctor, they work like half the hours as Mexico, have way more vacations and get paid about 9-10 times more and I'm like... wow you want MORE? 😅 shocking but understandable.

Ya it’s a little crazy, because Baden Württemberg also pays the highest in Germany and people are still leaving. But I can imagine it’s temping when you live on the border, paying German living costs and earning a Swiss salary! 😅

Thanks for the explanation. one more clarification, Is there any difference between doing physiotherapy from a University rather than doing it through Ausbuildung? Do you know any universities that are offering this program? What are the others option to increase your qualification after the Ausbuildung?

A university will be more theory and the an Ausbildung will be more practical. There are many Weiterbildung (like further education) to do after your Ausbildung to specialize in which type of physio you want to do

So Christine , hallo! I am Christina from Greece. I am finishing as a physiotherapy assistant in june here in a public school, and i was wondering about doing an ausbildung in Berlin for working there. I am in A1 now in Deutsch, which is of course early, but i could try and learn when i go there more of the language , go in B1 and search a school to attend. Do you know if the government pays an amount of your housing as a student there? I don't wanna go in a university, but maybe follow a private school for that. If you have any info for Berlin, i know you don't live there , but i would appreciate that! Danke für deine hilfe!

I’m not certain, but you may be able to get your degree recognised in Germany through the Kultusminister Konferenz Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen. It’s a plus that you’re in the EU too. So if you are able to get your degree recognised in Germany and have German language skills of at least B2, you can work right away. If this isn’t an option, get at least to a B2 level German. That’s typically the bare minimum language requirements for being accepted into an Ausbildung. You can apply directly to hospitals or clinics that offer the Ausbildung and they will help you with the proper documentation. The government doesn’t pay for your housing because you will earn a wage while you are doing your Ausbildung. Some hospitals even offer small apartments to rent at a low rate for Auszubildende. Since you want to go to Berlin, just apply to hospitals there.

Thanks for making this video its really helpful... You say that you may probably go back to Canada and give test to register your self as a therapist... But you did whole degree in different language I'm mean all books you read in German language like anatomy, physiology etc then how you overcome this thing ?

Fortunately, everything in medicine is typically in Latin, so a lot of things are the exact same. Also physiotherapy is very practical so the language you learn it in shouldn’t affect your practices 🙂

In America atleast, you need to have a Bachelors or Masters degree in order to be able to practice there. For example, I'm doing a nursing ausbildung, but if I wanted to practice in the US, I'd need to have obtained my Bachelors in Nursing here in Germany.

Girl, YOU ARE SO WRONG!!!!!! I did the Ausbildung, also upgraded to Bachelor of science in PT. and currently having trouble with CAPR to accept my supervised clinical hours (Praktikum) which I completed during my Ausbildung. The issue is that they believe the Ausbildung is at the secondary school level and therefore they can’t accept those hours. I might have a chance still because of the upgrade, but there’s no way they would accept the Ausbildung by itself! An alle die dies sehen und gerne im Ausland arbeiten wollen (USA, Canada, Australien etc.) die Ausbildung ist NICHT anerkannt!!

@@drmariafarzand4329 it’s not compulsory to do the Ausbildung here in Germany. You don’t even need to do an exam to be licensed. You just need to finish your language test (level B1 or B2 depending on the federal state) send in all your documents, and pay a fee to get your license.

After Ausbildung in many professions such as carpenter, bricklayer, roofer you can do a "Meister" which is like a Master for the Ausbildung Ausbildung in Germany is an alternative to going to University but still having a highly qualifying degree

Yes, generally speaking. If they offer a Bachelors in your specially you can earn a Bachelors as well. I only know specofics about Nursing. Nursing is offered as an ausbildung and as a Bachelors here in germany. If you start out finishing an ausbildung, you can then go onto to study Nursing for two years at university. After that you can continue on to get your masters and then your doctorate.

After you do an ausbildung in PT you could apply to a Uni that offers a bridge type program (ausbildungsbegleitend zum Bachelor of Science) that allows you to obtain your Bachelors in PT in a minimum of just 3 semesters. You could go on to obtain a master and a doctorate after that. With a Bachelors a person could help them beat out other candidates for leadership positions. You could start merging into areas of PT world that arent so hands on, like medical sales, management or healthcare administration positions. This could come with a Bachelors, time, the right experience and personality. Having a Bachelors carries alot in germany too, or atleast it used to, because you're considered an academic. Also a Bachelors from germany is internationally recognized. However that does not mean with a PT you can practice in any country. For example, in my home country, a PT has a doctorate! They are literally Doctors of Physical Therapy. So you would need to have the equivalent in order to practice in that country, plus whatever test you need to take by the country's accreditation/liscencing board. Anyway, didn't mean to take over the comment box with this response. 🙃😅
