Just one discrepancy and it's not the PM's fault. These are courtesies that advisors should always remind GOH for those special occasion. Always acknowledge an individual salute by looking at the individual and nod your head and a verbal greeting or a simple "thank you." The soldier/sailor who opened the car door for the PM deserved that acknowledgement; other than that, Thank you Auzzie for such a great honor of our PM. She's so elegant and royalty of her role!.....when President Obama of the US forgot to acknowledge the Marine guard salute before boarding the Marine One helicopter, the pilot said to him, "We will not move this bird until you return the respect to the Marine guard outside." President Obama went back outside and return the salute before the Marines cut theirs..... google it.

In fact, saying that to the highest ranked person of the US armed forces (Commander in Chief) is insubordination and is a good way to get court martial and end a career. What's more likely is that Obama remembered and went back outside on his own accord. You don't seem to have much credibility to be talking about courtesies as if you were ever received on a state visit.
