TK box will probably stay on shelves for a long time, the bulk of the box is made of old models that were already considered old and ugly by the end of Fantasy. Nearly nobody is interested in nearly 30 years old skeletons that look more like skeletal orangutans than human skeletons

So there are 18 datasheets in the app's index for DA. 20 reportedly are in the codex, and some from the index are likely to be removed. Inner circle companions are likely to have a datasheet, so the question is, who else is being added?

None, don't forget the combat patrol datasheets. That would make 16 regular datasheets including the companions and 4 CP datasheets. We are losing 3 datasheets, most likely the Deathwing Command Squad, the strikemaster and the talonmaster

When the Necron and AdMech codexes were previewed on Warhammer Community, the number of datasheets that the article said they came with ended up being the number of full datasheets in the published codexes - Combat Patrol datasheets were on top of this. It would seem odd because if Combat Patrol sheets weren't represented in the 20, that would mean we're potentially getting 2 new sheets and none being removed, but that would seem very unlikely, at a minimum because the Talonmaster is a no longer available model. Still... I'm just saying that's the way they represented the number of datasheets in codexes in the past.

These prices should be considered in the context of the price rise that has just been announced to independent retailers. Average is about 7%, but wide variability, depending on the price point. Combat Patrols are going up to £95 from £90.

I have a strange suspicion due to all the combat patrol boxes changing throughout the edition that this box will be transformed into the new combat patrol without the codex, cards, and probably one of the terminator models. Especially since the dark angel codex is being shipped with those models, however this is just speculation off of previous info.

I don't believe any other Combat Patrol box includes a named character, so I think the chances are low of that being the case. Besides, they already made a "terminator combat patrol" with the SM units from Leviathan.

Doubtful. It’d be… very strange to have Belial in a combat patrol, considering what he’s capable of by his datasheet alone. Unless they replace him with a terminator chaplain or something. But in reality, a Deathwing combat patrol is just the new basic one

Dark Angels Player here since 1992. I will not pick up this box as a) I have enough Deathwing Terminators and b) As tempted as I am, I am still disappointed about the lack of feathers. Right feathers. Deathwing is bone white in remeberance of a group of Marines that rescued their homeworld that was settled by descendants of earth's Indian braves. Where are the feathers. I am not opposed to the knights theme, but to rewrite Deathwing is shyte.

That isn't steep at all dude, that's like 750~ points with the codex and extras too. You're paying about £85 for the models, you ain't getting a deal that good anywhere else frankly. And your LGS will have this box even cheaper than GW, around £110 a box.

I haven't been interested in playing on the table top yet. I'm waiting to build up to it. So the points don't matter to me tbh. I keep up with the channel to see what comes out and to see how the meta is currently. But I didn't even think about LGS. Unfortunatly, the store near me is having issues with ordering GW stuff so there's not much in stock and I don't think they'll be able to grab much for months. It isn't as Dark Angels use their own rules. Like you will have to kitbash and then it'll work because raw you won't be able to run deathwing knights or belial for exemple But kitbashing is king and makes everything possible and cool

Should've had the Lion included at that price, but... most DA players probably already have him. I don't think the new Deathwing kit is good enough, it's a visual upgrade obviously but a quality downgrade. There not being full deathwing terminators instead of upgrade sprues is just lousy. Marines are supposed to look a little mixed up because they use ancient armor, but Primaris has made the whole line look generic. It's such a shame that so many people are just slobbering this up uncritically, completely uninterested in all the options and bits that've been stripped. Honestly shame on you.

NGL this box is really fucking mid. You're mainly paying for the Codex, data sheets, and upgrade sprues. The first two you can literally just look online (at a certain eastern european fan website). And the upgrade sprues are literally just small bits that you could commission a 3D print for.

This box actually seems super worth it for a starting set if someone doesn't have a space marine army going! If I'm not mistaken 3-5 terminators usually cost between $50-$60 (USD) so 16 for 220 with Belial and the index/short story. Sounds fucking Grand to me. My point was that GW is still using exchange rates from many years ago, and that their prices are not logical, especially since I could just use some method to order in pounds instead of dollars and still get free shipping to my house.

Terminator squads are 37.50GBP normally, a terminator character is normally 27.50GBP, so that's 147.5GBP if you buy at MSRP. But GW stuff are regularly 15-25% off, so without any effort, you could just buy them for 125GBP. The upgrade sprues are worthless to a person starting out. It only has value if you already have the Space Marines ready to go for the upgrade bits. Should have swapped them out for a squad of Inner Circle Companions. Datasheets and Codex should always be free. The army box is terrible value to vast majority of people. There is also ZERO reason to get more than one box since you're getting charged double for the paper materials, and not much reason to have 2 Belials.

Terminator squads are 40, and this is superb value what are you on about? This will be like £110 at your LGS, limited edition codex will be like £25, cards about £10, £80 on 2 terminator boxes, £27.50 for Belial, probably £40 for deathwing too. Just on terminators alone you get a discount, everything else in too is free. How can you say free stuff is a bad deal is beyond reasoning.

Either I'm doing my math wrong or this isn't "that" great of a deal. 3 Deathwing terminator command boxes off Amazon for $150 makes all the models (tmk) in this big box(Minis Belial). So unless you REALLY want his new model (Which is fair, his old model is available cheap but it's finecast), just doesn't seem worth it to me. Feel free to correct me if my math is wrong
