I have been following this guy’s story for ages. Actually, his videos are addictive as it shows you what not to do in Thailand. He was in Australia suffering massive depression and suicidal. So he came up with the plan to move to Thailand to cure his depression. So, he gets on a plane with $130,000 as his full financial resources. He lands in Phuket and finds a bar-girl as a companion and has a good time and in the process lifting his depression, although it remained a continuing factor in his life. He admitted that he spent more than his budget, so he decided to go to Pattaya as a fresh start. He had broken up with his girl from Phuket as he was going out drinking and talking to other ladies while filming them for his KZbin channel. He was upset that his girlfriend was very annoyed and jealous about this - that’s why he broke up with her. He doesn’t understand Thai women. How dumb. So, in Jomtien he was walking around a Go-Go bar in his usual attire - T-shirt and shorts - and wearing new Thongs (sandals or Flip Flops). He slipped and fell down and badly broke his leg. He probably had a few beers on board. So, he was incapacitated and needed someone to assist him in daily activities and to assist with going to the hospital. So, he hired a lady from the ThaiFriendly website. Apparently, she did help him a lot. Then they became an item. He had always been considering opening a business to sustain him in his retirement as he did not have enough money. He decides to set up a bar as he thought he could make it work and have a good income. His girlfriend helps him. As it turns out herself as well. All the documents, leases and licenses were put solely in her name. What a mistake. He did not follow the Thai rules and regulations. Anyway, he refurbished the bar and got it running. His girlfriend was working 12 to 16 hours a day in the bar, and he was apparently doing less hours and only issuing orders and directions on how to do things. Anyway, he and his girlfriend had issues and she took possession of the bar. She refused to allow him to go to the bar. How she enforced this is unknown. She initially wanted him to buy her out of the bar. He could not afford it. He refused to pay her, and he wanted all the money he invested in the bar back. He decides to take her to Court to get his money back. The case is still pending. What I am saying is that he made bad decisions constantly, and in a row and ended up fighting for his money, what little he has, So, he has no money, except a little money that he earns from KZbin. He admits that the main source of his money is gifts/donations from his brother in Australia. Amazingly he has found another girlfriend with whom he shares a condo. It was originally hers, but she and he came to an agreement that if he shares the costs he can stay there with her. So, the situation is he has no real income, and still suffering deep depression. He seems unable to make videos as he is so depressed. He sometimes does live-streams which really are very very poor quality. One out of ten stars, and that is being generous. He thinks that when he wins the court case, he will be able to restart the business idea because he needs income. He is even thinking of getting another bar. It is doubtful, even with the court winnings, that he could afford to set up the business with the proper business structure and following the Thai rules and regulations. That is, a business visa, Thai company, and work permit. So basically, he is at the end of his dream of retirement in Thailand with only about ten to fifteen thousand dollars to live on, and extremely depressed and anxious. I, like so many others, am sick of his constant asking for “buying me coffees” and other e-begging. I understand he is depressed, but sooner or later he is going to realise that he has to make some difficult decisions. His grand plan to overcome his depression by retiring in Thailand has spiralled out of control downwards. Another thing I really dislike is his constantly putting down Thailand. He does not like the bar scene. But goes to Gents Clubs saying they are better and thus suiting his derisive opinion of bar ladies, bars and Thailand in general. He really does not understand Thailand, its customs and social rules, and thinks he knows so much better. I think he has a poor opinion of Thailand despite his stating he loves Thailand. He needs to wake up to his situation. Greg’s story is addictive, but sad as well.

Super good analysis! From our perspective we understand the problems of depression and would not want to add to the problem. However this guy uses it as an excuse to help facilitate his begging. He said he went and saw doctors, shrinks and professors blah blah in Aussie. BS, At this time there are all sorts of medications that can be given to assist with depression. No one would have advised someone with acute depression to run away to another country. Depression is one thing but acute stupidity is harder to deal with, just add alcohol and maybe that is where his problem began. He believes that all his followers are more stupid than him and will believe all he says. Indeed, looking at some of the comments that could be true in some cases! He will get exactly what he deserves!

A week or two ago I sent him an email out of kindness, and he initially replied that I was rude and a troll, that I wanted to scare him back to Australia and other insults. So, I replied to him about work permits and some of the things he did when he had his bar. EG, taking out the rubbish, buying food for the bar at a supermarket, giving orders to the girlfriend and staff about what to do, such as placement of chairs, also his ordering drinks, etc. All of this is at least management and requires a work permit. All of this information was in his many videos. Today he said many, many people want to go into business with him, one being his lawyer. That would have to against attorney client ethics. Anyway, they would have to be fools. Also, he would have to go get a work permit. This ignorance about work permits shows he is dumb, but even worse that he does not care about Thai rules and regulations and by extension culture. He stated in today’s livestream that he can oversee his bar even if he’s on a retirement visa. Bullshit. I’m hot under the collar because of his ignorance and rudeness. Even if he wins the court case, he won’t last much longer in Thailand. Another thing that bugs me is the way he behaves to other people such as the Thais. I have seen it a lot in his videos, his behaviour is the typical rude Aussie with the entitled bad attitude. No wonder all his girlfriends eventually tell him to piss off. I now hope the current one does. I am so annoyed; this guy gives Australians a bad name.
