Thanks for the tutorial! Unfortunately many functions from Ladybug and Butterfly packages are currently not working in Dynamo. I hope Grasshopper and Dynamo teams can find out a solution and we could use the packages again in Dynamo.

You're welcome! I actually stopped using Ladybug for Dynamo shortly after this series as I began using Grasshopper and Rhino Inside instead. Highly encourage you to try it out - much faster and easier to get consistent results. I have a video on the method here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6XdaKaDgN2bprc

Excellent tutorial. One question, I have the same problem as Mete with Dynamo and Ladybug, so what would be the best way to import complex surfaces into Grasshopper from Revit?

Rhino Inside would be my goto in that case. I have a few videos on my channel for it, the first shows how to bake elements to rhino by category.

Great tutorial! I wish I could watch some Cost Analysis tutorial from you. : )

Unfortunately I don't get to use Revit for cost very often - I usually have a QS on my projects. I will think of some tips and tricks for quantity takeoff however and produce a video about that in future though, thanks for the idea!

@@AussieBIMGuru it's ok. Just tips and tricks are more than enough for me. I'd gladly wait for it. Thank you so much for your effort!

One question, are these principals must be strictly followed.Cause in China the principals are as same as laws,if your design are against these principals, you may get fined or even go to jail as a prisoner.

This is a simplified version of compliance as enforced for residential projects in Sydney, Australia. There is a more refined testing method we use at firms generally, but I can't share that level due to IP reasons unfortunately. We generally use Ladybug and Grasshopper these days as Ladybug is not supported for Revit 2020 and higher. Whilst you wont get directly punished for not following them, a design can be challenged on their basis by the public or a council for a development application and may lead to having to revise a design to meet compliance.

@@AussieBIMGuru Thank you for your reply,in China when analyzing the hours of sunshine and energy consumption,we must use specific software designed by state-owned software company.

@@mavs013 i actually think countries and councils should all dictate software and testing methods as its an issue when the standard is enforced but can be met in many ways - a lot of people fake the testing or dont do it properly.
