My brother and I are making the first steps to beginning our hunting careers, got our safely course this weekend! The passion for the lifestyle that u bring is absolutely sensational and I'm so glad I've found your channel. I feel like I've found the outlook and style of hunting that I can really get around. Thanks so much for all the effort u put into making your videos both engaging and educational. Good times are natural! 🤙

Your stoke at the end completing your goal and getting within and getting some footage! So good to see. 90+% of hunting isn't killing stuff! It's being in the bush and actively interacting with it. Thank you for sharing your passion and experience!

Love the vid mate guick question what's ur advise to pack out an animal when the temp is high 30s? In ways of feild dressing and storage
@AussieBushHarvest9 ай бұрын
Field dressing wise.. break down in the field, each leg straight into game bags as you take them off, leave skin on as it offers protection from flies and seconds matter when it comes to covering the exposed meat on the rest of the leg. If there’s any cool shaded area with a grassy base leave the covered legs/straps/meat on the ground in those patches, particularly where the grass is most lush, whilst you finish the field dress. It’s a challenging time to hunt and many hunters avoid those peak heat periods, but if you have to.. always be aware that the moment you expose raw flesh it’s going to have flies heading direct and will be ideal conditions for bacteria. So any meat you remove and cover is in your control, whenever hunting in these conditions head out with ice or frozen water bottles in your eski just incase, otherwise the aircon in the car can help save the cause. If you have the meat behind a game net to keep flies off it can be safe for a few hours and will develop a jerky like crust on the outside which helps defend against flies/maggots and bacteria but it’s essential to cool the meat as soon as possible so don’t hang overnight unless the temps are certainly going to drop under 10 degrees Celsius.
