Good Video as always. For my taste its getting a bit too much of the cintematic mode. For like 10-15 seconds its fine. But now its like even when the big big fight is over. Its more interisting whats getting qued up, what upgrades is getting in, how are the losses, is a raid coming on the minimap and so on

Couple of things i would like to point out for Byz player First of all he went for a landmark that was shut down before was able to do anything why not go for hipodome instead also he could use those horseman to kill traders on a map that is wide open for raids and get paid 20 gold for every trader he takes out Second Loue could open dark age racks just to deny mongol tower rush Byz got 30% production bonus on just one cistern which means he could keep up with mongol production

Any level : Byz winrate = 47% (2nd lowest behind Chinese) Conq IV : 49% Also real question here : should the game be balanced for Conq IV (Pro players) so it is enjoyable to watch ? Or should it be balanced in gold league where the most people play ? I dunno...

It reached a point where the Mongol player didn't do enough economic damage, and believed that if the Byzantine player just started throwing money (in the form of units) at him, he'd be slowly but surely overwhelmed. So, no point in a long drawn out death. Mongols aren't very good in the late imperial age so there isn't a follow up plan after losing that fight.

People complain a lot about Ottoman, but Mongols are truly busted here. The trade boom is so good that it makes 2tc a joke. And you just can’t harass Mongol in feudal unless going all in because Keshia’s double production will outfight anh cavalry you can make.

As someone who played both games around 500h i can say that aoe4 today is the way better game in PvP with litterally uncountable different playstyles and a great balance (something like rn in ao2 that all archers are completely unplayable would never Happen in aoe4)

"Byzantines constantly evolving" backwards? Your argument is double wrong. 1. Yes there is a huge difference between Conq and Conq 3+. The latter is composed of a couple 100 players who - honestly - are totally irrelevant to overall gameplay. A game lives and dies by its player base not by the 0.1%. 2. Byzantine Conq IV win rate (per today): 48.9%. Don't you think it says a lot that your main argument for the Byzantines being very strong at Conq IV is that they are ALMOST at 50% WR? They are THAT shit overall that one would be happy if they nearly reach 50%. I am sorry but how is that "very strong"? I think at one point I said that AoE 4 was going down the drain. Remember when I said that the DLC might increase numbers temporarily but that it was going to drop down again? It's already happening. Look at Steamcharts. The devs simply listen too much to the Conq IV players. They are not Magnus Carlsen. They are not geniuses, they are just the people in a small talent pool that have the time to spend on a C-tier game. They don't know how to balance a game and clearly neither do the devs.

Man this game is by far the best balanced rts ive ever played in my life and its not even close. The winrates after the last patch are between 47% and 53% for all civs and thats in a game were unlike aoe2 the civs are very different in its playing style. You preticted, that the player numbers will drop after a few weeks after dlc release? Man maybe you are the Magnus Carlsen in this C- Tier Game community thats just a crazy good predicition ive never thought that could happen. Honestly: The Numbers are still much higher than pre- dlc release and thats a great thing. If you expected that they will stay at 30k like in the first week after release i really dont know what to say
