We appreciate the comments but I really do have to defend the product. I was personally involved in saving one of my mate’s properties in Bilpin throughout this fire season. The Aussie Fire Chief did a fantastic job in saving properties, not only for my mate but for plenty of others throughout the season. We’ve got many testimonials from many customer from all over Australia who were thankful that they had an Aussie Fire Chief on their side this year when fighting the fires. Portable fire pumps used on fire ground were a huge part of the fire fighting efforts this season. In fact the Aussie Fire Chief is a Rural Fire Service contract winner and many of our pumps were used on those vehicles throughout this season. They all Manufacture serious performing pumps starting at GX630 20hp up to 80hp 1000cc @ 6000rpm and still portable, 100mm suction on all, 10bar plus on all, 700L to 1900L/min@10bar and they all live in the Northern Hemisphere deciduous forests, not volatile dry sclerophyll eucalyptus. Defended these toys as much as you like you have an interest in them, but the figure speak for themselves and I'll call these toys out. Do a comparison flowchart. Ok you've impressed the number crunching bureaucrats with their heads up one another's arse, well done. But these are the same number crunching bureaucrats that design and build a light to medium fire trucks that carries 2350 to 3000L and send volunteer family men and women into a fire shit storm with less water than their families weekly household water consumption. Hi Dean, We just got brought up to date on the very instructive comments you’ve made on the traditional Australian designed and built concept of lightweight portable Fire Pumps. Any points that you’ve made don’t offer any constructive advice to home owners seeking to protect their own properties. I have to tell you that what you are saying is negative in the nth degree and insinuates that our Aussie Fire Chief, the best lightweight portable fire pump in the world, is not competent in a fire. When the last major fires came through Arcadia around 12-15 years ago, I worked with the RFS team and protected my son’s log cabin from the fire using an Aussie Fire Chief. Admittedly, we used a 1.5”inch hose with a high quality nozzle and had the benefit of a large dam to draw from. Compared to the pumps that the RFS was using, our Fire Chief did a mighty job, extinguishing spots so that even in the heat of the fire they went out and stayed out. The RFS were suitably impressed and subsequently purchased 500-600 of these pumps. In fact during the Black Summer down the South Coast where I was on vacation I wound up working with the Firies and home owners in the back blocks behind Milton. I saw even a cheap Chinese low cost fire pump with a leaking seal save an old wooden farm house from the fire. No, it didn’t put out the fire, it enabled us to wet down the roof, fill up the gutters and make sure the ground around the house was clear. I think you misunderstand what the Australian concept of a lightweight portable Fire Pump actually is. It’s not supposed to do the job of a $30,000, 30-40hp diesel engine drive pump! It’s horses for courses Dean. You may be interested to know we recently made a major shipment of Fire Chief pumps off to the United States to help them in their fire season. It’s a big seller in the States. Our Fire Chief is also being widely used in the South of France where they currently have fires raging now. Appreciate your comments. Don’t confuse the poor folks who just need to protect their homes or properties.

More water at pressure than any other pump and a big belly body. Well I'm impressed with that marketing BS and lack of specifics. According to your specs it puts out 400 L/minute at less than 6bar. Wow thats 10 mains garden hoses. It's another pot plant watering toy that dosent have the combined flow and pressure to reach a flame base of any decent fire because of radiant heat. If you think that's outperforming any other pump you should be held culpably liable for any fool that's cooked trying to fight a fire with yet another under-performing toy. Please anyone that's in a bushfire zone, minimum 1000L/minute at 10 bar, 150psi. 100,000 litre storage with 4 inch suction. None of these 5hp to 13hp pot plant watering toys have a hope in hell of even stopping a grass fire with a strong wind behind it.
