I think they meant exaggerates the accent like Chan says G’day mate like hella 😭 compared to Felix who naturally has a thick accent cause he lived there till he was 17 whereas Chan till he was 10 so his natural accent isn’t thick at all sometimes he sounds British, American and Aussie all in and even exaggerates waaaaaay to much my cousin says but I wouldn’t know cause I’m not from there ya know?

@@blocclips9252Chan didn’t leave Australia at 11 tho. He left in 2011 at around 13-14 and he lived there since he was baby baby. Year they do exaggerate their accent for fun but they both have accents.

@@marienegron900Chan said he was losing his accent and forgetting English as well till he met Felix so yeah he’s accent isn’t as thick as Felix’s and yes they obviously do both got an accent but if an Aussie person was to react to Chan and Felix speak they automatically say that Chan exaggerates his accent quite a lot but when you hear in speak in Lives he has a mixture between American, Aussie and British all in one accent 😭 whereas Felix is pure Aussie

So both of them are really proper Australians. Sometimes they just exaggerate the Aussie accent to make things funny. All the other members love Australia as well and are all honourary Aussies 😂❤ Chan and Felix have a very special relationship obviously both being able to relate to each other about how they grew up. ❤

As you watch Skz compilations you'll see that all of the members are extremely close with one another and they all have their own unique relationships with each other. They are more like a family than a group. Han speaks english with a British accent w some Australian twang sometimes 😂

They both are proper Australians, Felix lived in Australia since the day he was born till he was 17, bangchan spent his childhood there. They just like to exaggerate their accent sometimes to entertain their members/viewers but Felix actually has a strong accent, bangchan has a Accent aswell. I think it’s funny how Australians always manage to get offended by other aussies, love ur reaction

They were 9, but now they are 8 members’ group. Woojin (the 9th member) left quite shortly after debut. Felix was born and raised in australia. English is his first language. Actually when he went to korea to become a trainee he barely speak korean and need to learn the language. He almost not able to debut due to the language. Bangchan was born in korea but moves to australia when he was very young. His family still in australia till now. Both of them do have very thick australian accent. And yes, other members do got influenced by their accent 😂 except Han where somehow he adapted to british accent instead 😂

@@ozbrizzie8869 I don’t know why that’s relevant, but Jake still lived in Australia up until like a year before his debut. His family came back with him because they wanted to help support him. He has a pretty strong accent and when he came to Korea he also wasn’t fluent in Korean, just like Felix.

Yes Americans say "cuz" although today is said more like "cuh." "Cuz" originated in black culture here and also has ties to American (LA/southern Cali) gang culture (Crips specifically).

Thank you guys so much. and love the story about the ubber driver. So cool. In these clips they do exaggerate sometimes the accents to make it funny. Everyone loves a good aussie accent. lol. There was 19 members when they debut in March 25th 2018 but Woojin left the group in Oct 2019. So you may see older clips that have 19 members even in the fan made videos that use older clips. They guy interviewing Felix and BangChan was Eric Nam who is a solo singer and songwriter and has his own podcast called "Daebak Show w/ Eric Nam". When Bang Chan said I don't know you any more is the title of one if Eric's songs. He tours all over and is an amazing singer and host of his show. So relatable.

They probably do exaggerate their accent a bit because a lot of stay I would say love their Aussie accent so like for fan service a lot of people ask them “hey say this in the most Aussie accent ever” so they just go along with it lol

As a fellow Aussie, you all have the general Australian accent with some additional "twangs" here and there. I hear Felix as having a stronger Aussie accent (e.g. more likely to say "No" instead of"Noiy") than Chris/Bang Chan. There is a video somewhere of Changbin asking Chan about how he says "No" and Chris couldn't say "Noiy" on demand. This is probably because Chris left AU much younger (at 13?) and his rough edges have smoothed out. That is exactly what happened to me when I moved overseas as a 12/13 year old for 4 years. I used to say things like "noiy" and "froid roice" and but now naturally say "fr-eye-d r-eye-ce" instead. Felix left AU at about 17 so more years immersed in the accent.

you guys are right about the other members learning english lol! seungmin (he knows english but is revising cuz he lost some of it) is starting to get a bit of an aussie accent because he speaks with felix in english a lot. same with hyunjin! han though has a british accent with english, i think because he binged the harry potter movies when he was revising his english so his accent has more of a posh brit sound lmaoo

Han's accent is due to him going to school in Malaysia when he was young from what I've understood. (It was formally a British colony)

@@MakeGoodTrouble true, but he said he barely spoke english in malaysia and that's why he couldnt make a lot of friends during school, which led to him being home-schooled and learning english in his teen years. in videos from 2018 to 2021 you can hear he has an american accent when speaking english, but when he started learning english again (and watching harry potter all the time with felix) his accent became british. ive been a han bias since predebut lol and his accent has gone from american to british :)

You guys do sound like them. BTW Aussie accent is a league of its own I swear. English is not my first language but I'm somewhat fluent. I spent a year in Sydney, and I was depressed the first couple of months because I understood NO ONE. Took a while man, was very frustrating. I came home picking up some of that accent but it's pretty much a mix of neutral + American + local accent with Aussie on top.

Some of them do say some things in an Aussie accent, but not all of them do. It’s really only the Aussies that do. Hyunjin and Seungmin have American accents, Han has a British accent, and the other 3 have Korean accents. Hyunjin actually likes to compare his accent with Felix, and Han makes a point of saying that their accent is sexy. Chan and Felix do teach them some Australian phrases and pronunciation, but they all have their own way of speaking English lol
