So do you have to have competetive scores to be considered for navy seals or do the base scores count aswell? Also what are the competitive scores I'd like to try this out at some point.
@SpyderRacing Жыл бұрын
It depends on your region and where you test out your PST from. Different regions in the US are more competitive. To make it out of BUDs prep after boot camp you have to do 1000m swim with fins (forget the time) 70 push ups and 60 sit ups(I think), 10 pull ups, can't remember it's been so long. You also have to do a 4 mile run in 31 minutes. It's like a PST on steroids. Not sure if they still do this though, this was in 2013.
@amazingjoe3635 Жыл бұрын
@@SpyderRacing thanks. Better info than nothing I need to do a lot more running for stamina and I also need to build strength. I'll be 17 in 8 days and wanna start working out don't have a gym membership so it's just gonna be calisthenics for the next 2 years
@SpyderRacing Жыл бұрын
@@amazingjoe3635 That's all you need, calisthenics and a 35 to 50 lbs sandbag. Pushups, situps, pull ups, lunges, squats, overhead press + running will get you 90% of the way there. Also need access to a pool. Id shoot for 80 push ups, 80 sit ups, 8:30 on the swim, 8:50 on the run, 20 pull ups. And for a 4 mile I would shoot for 28 minutes.
@amazingjoe3635 Жыл бұрын
@@SpyderRacing yeah but I got a long way to go thanks for the info. I just need to get a schedule worked out and find a way to get weight included. Weights aren't really cheap I'll look into a sand bag as I see it being a lot cheaper and easier to work with. As for pool there's a city pool here that I could use or the lake I need to find a job but every place where I live either gives very few work hours or is just terrible to work at. I'll find a place though I might apply to one store tomorrow and see what happens
@SpyderRacing Жыл бұрын
@@amazingjoe3635 All you need for a sandbag is a trashbag, ducktape and sand. If you can find free sand/dirt somewhere just fill the bag up till it's at the weight you want and wrap the whole thing in ducktape(Shape is like a rectangle). That's how they're made in the military anyways, though in buds you won't be using sandbags, you'll be using a log.
