As you mention in the description, the backbone of the railway's fleet are industrial tank engines, not that I'm complaining! I believe another one of their Hunslet engines, Beatrice, has just returned from overhaul (not an austerity though). Also, an interesting consist to go with 'Cumbria', the LNWR saloon in particular. Superb footage👍

They also have one of the predecessors of the Austerity: A Hunslet 50550 class that looks very similar. I saw it down in the line of derelicts many years ago on a day when the railway was not running. I think it has an extended buffer-beam.

She's currently under restoration work at a site in Bolton to my knowledge, left the railway a good few years ago now and don't know where the loco will go once complete.

Whats it like there getting to the good filming locations are they walkable from either of the stations?

Thanks for commenting. The only shot the can be accessed from a station is the closing shot at Bolton Abbey. 1:53 is taken from a publuc overbridge, whilst stoneacre loop is accessed via a public footpath just up from a lay-by on the A59. Hope this helps. Cameron

Hi, it is a great railway isn't it. The railway has lots of the hunslet saddle tanks. The number is around 8. Many are not shown on the website because they are not running but if you visit the Wikipedia page, old website or preservedbritishsteamlocomotives.com/ Embsay railway page it tells you them all. Great video by the way!!

Thanks for commenting. Embsay has lots of Hunslets but I was only referring to the Austerities, of which there are four: ‘Warspite’, Wheldale’, ‘Monckton No. 1’ and 69 (not including visitors). But it is a nice little line with lots of brilliant industrials. Kind Regards. Cameron
