@ 54:07 the fact that Austin has kept his sense of humor and taken all the injuries, surgeries and bad luck in stride just speaks to his character and mental strength! Moto dudes are just built different 😂😂

FIRE ME UP love tuning into this podcast when they have a moto guy on. Wish they would do more of them but doin just the dogs of the sport is legit. Austin to triumph could end up being mitch peytons biggest fear he said letting Austin go scares him because he could take off and win straight out. This kid was a amatuer phenom ya never know things could still click for him one day. Would be sick to see you guys get the mind game master cooper webb or the KTM cowboy Aaron plessinger on the pod both are FIRE interviews . Thanks for this one . Hope to see you back on top someday Austin don't give up your style is built for a 450 you will get there

In regard to the medical staff not putting him on the stretcher after one of his crashes. There’s a law suit going on currently, it’s between the AMA and a professional rider Brian Moreau which wasn’t treated correctly on the side of the track and is now paralysed. AMA are suing the rider for even wanting to take to court or something like that, when it’s their staff that caused the issue by incorrectly diagnosing as they couldn’t understand the French rider.

Neurosurgery here. I was gonna say, sounds like an AVM. Then you said it’s an AVM 😂 they likely had to send you to a Vascular Neurosurgeon which is why you got bounced around a bit. I’m glad you got it taken care of! Some of these rupture randomly, and the person doesn’t even make it to the hospital. I’d be happy to discuss more if you need clarity. Great podcast!

@ 10:09 Jfc I knew Austin had been thru some really bad wrecks bc I'd seen most of them live on TV on Saturdays....... but holy 💩 I never got to see the after effects of the crashes like that story. I raced MX from ages 4-16 as a local amateur and at a handful of the amateur nationals, but dude, I'm just not gnarly enough to go thru the kind of stuff that Forkner, Roczen, AC, McAdoo, etc etc have been thru. I'm in my 30s and still absolutely love riding moto, but at MY race pace nowadays 😂✌️

Moto/“extreme sport” guys have a totally distorted view of football, kids die and get crippled every single year. Plus having a 6’3 240lb monster that runs a 4.4 40 coming at you like a heat sealing missile is also gnarly asf, not to mention all the nasty compound fractures lol oh and they killed the whoops to help foreign riders, they they clearly dont gaf ab safety 😂

I can't believe you had the crash test dummy on your show. Sure moto is dangerous, however when you can't ride it's definitely dangerous. I can't understand how he has remained a factory rider. His professional career has been a total waste of money.
