yes Rich... It is big and its getting bigger each year! A lot of businesses are moving in there from silicone valley so expect this place to be capitol of tech businesses in upcoming years :)Cheers

@@TAPPChannel a lot of businesses are not moving to Austin. They are just expanding. Google, Apple, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, KZbin. Are all headquartered in California still. Silicon Valley is still the tech capital with most tech jobs in 2022. Austin just seen a large influx of expansions for these companies. They are expanding in a lot of cities. NYC, Seattle, LA, Chicago. Etc, to expand their workforce and grow the company. Silicon Valley is still headquarters to all these tech companies in Austin.

@@californiamade5608 Except for a few like Oracle, HP and Tesla that have moved their headquarters for more favorable corporate tax purposes, along with a number of smaller tech firms relocating for the lower cost of living for recruiting tech talent. Now the technology industry can be any number of hubs around the country or the globe. Also for the last few years Google has been installing its high speed fiber optic cables all over the city. Austin was the second major city for this installation in the U.S. Just finished in my hood last month and are testing the lines.

Great video. And I would love to see a 2022 version. Austin has the fastest changing skyline in the US and there are so many towers that are not in this video, even though this was shot less than 2 years ago.

@@californiamade5608 doesn't mean it's not a great and rapidly growing skyline. You'd be hard pressed to name 5 cities with faster growing skylines. Austin is finishing an 800+ footer and has two more approved and a 1,000+ FT supertall up for approval. That's a lot for metro of 2.5 million.

@@Gusto08 lol that’s nothing tho. I’m from San Francisco. We have the 6th largest skyline in America. And way more towers went up here from 2010 and 2020 than Austin. Including the Salesforce Tower at 1,070 feet. San Francisco has two 800 foot towers and third one is underway. Another 1,066 foot tower for San Francisco was proposed and is undergoing approval. Making it the second supertall for SF. Austin has a long way. Is it nice? Sure. But it’s nothing close to what I’m use to seeing in my city. But beautiful nonetheless for Texas. It’ll probably the best skyline there. Austin is the 15 largest skyline in America. Sooo yeah.. but it’s growing. And 2.5 isn’t surprising. Austin isn’t a small city. Atlanta has had a 1,020 foot tower for decades now and it’s smaller than Austin. City limits not metro.

@@californiamade5608 lol the Atlanta and SF CSA's are both 2.5x larger than Austin's metro (since Austin doesn't have a CSA). Of course their skylines are larger. I never claimed Austin's was larger, I said it was faster growing/changing. When you take the size of the metro/CSA into account, it is. To look at fastest growing/changing, you cant just look at the number of tower build or existing. You also have to look at a number of different factors like population because it isnt a 1 for 1 compare. Site work has already started on Austin's supertall, with an 800 footer close to topping out and 2 more up for approval. Austin is growing at a significantly faster rate than the Bay Area, with many major companies relocating HQs to Austin (some from the Bay Area) or opening new regional offices there.

Austin has one of the fastest changing skylines in the united states due to it's booming population, it makes sense why.

@@californiamade5608 not true. Austin’s skyline looks more dramatic since it barely had a skyline 15-20 years ago. Both Houston and Dallas have added to their skylines. Not as noticeable since both cities have well established skylines.

Texas cities are so beautiful and unique. People hate on them for lack of public transportation and traffic. I think it’s valid criticism, but i love the fact that i can take my car and go to a store when ever i like, or take a trip to small towns and the countryside. I just wish the government actually accurately represented the people, and wasn’t moving to the extreme fringe.
